Game Thread: Jaguars @ Eagles

Opening day is 2 days away. On paper, it looks like an easy win for the Eagles - but the game isn't played on paper? I HOPE that the players can somehow get up for the game.
Are you going to the game?
What threats do the Jags have?

I'm interested to see how the offense does against Bradley's defense. Fan of Cyprien and wish he was on our roster. How will we deploy Sproles and Shady together. No one on the tags offense scares me. But I really don't think the defense is going to be light years better than it was last year. I hope they are not looking past the Jags to the prime time game against the Colts.

Interested to see how the defense looks, how they use Sproles, and how many testicles the kid kicker has.

Our O should be lights out against this squad.

I'm more interested in seeing this putrid D and seeing if they can stop the run game (as I think that's what the Jags are going to do) and Gerhart.

After watching last nights game (hawks/pack) and seeing rookies making some plays and being productive for two top teams, I wanna see how much our Rookies are going to contribute to a much worse squad then the ones playing last night.

I think that Sproles will be used more as a pass catcher. How many catches he gets, remains to be seen.
Will they have a deep threat at receiver without Jackson?

I think Mathews is the only one who will produce out of the rookies. I'm sure he will be up and down like most rookie WR's. I'm interested in seeing how Allen fares in the middle. Can he spell Logan to form a solid rotation. No expectations for Smith. Can't get to excited about a guy they reached on and are already trying to limit expectations on him.

Should be an easy one for the Eagles. Gonna be interesting to see how well Gus Bradley has the Jags playing in his second year. I was on the Gus Bus big-time when it looked like the Eagles weren't going to get the big name hire. I still think, over the long run anyway, that Gus will be a more successful coach than Chip Kelly.

Barring the Jags getting Defensive scores or turnovers in our own end I really don't see much chance we lose this one. I can see Gerhart churning out some yards against our D ... but that won't be nearly enough. Eagles by 17.

I think we woodshed J'Ville. Like 42-13. Ertz and Shady both go big.

Foles goes down in the first quarter with a season ending blown knee. Sanchez takes the Birds to the playoffs.
