Washington would do that because they don't have a 1st rounder the next 2 years. So they trade a guy who may play or may not so they can build around their QB of the future.

I couldn't agree more. I get the value of a back-up when your qb might be fragile, but let's face it, teams don't spend 2nd rounders on back-up quarterbacks.

Just think of the teams that are likely to trade for him. At worse you get a mid 2nd pick, more than likely a higher 2nd rounder. That gives you more to build on than Kirk Cousins sitting the bench just in case Griffin gets hurt again.

I agree Sanchez is not tradeable, but they have to release him, don't they, and bite the bullet. When he's released their next move should be to fire Ryan. They need to blow it up and start over.
