Look at it as a night out with the family. Maybe that'll lesson the pain. :noidea:

The biggest miscalculation by the nhl and nhlpa during this lockout is not being able to realize there are cheaper "night out with the family" alternatives that its devoted fans were too blind to realize existed

Im gonna love watching nhl games on tv

The Jets schedule will be interesting if they end up playing 7 games against divisional opponents...

Wasn't there some talk about having them switch divisions with somebody else (St. Louis?) for this shortened season, just for that reason?

They were going to switch with Columbus, but the league shot that down...

one thing for sure is that with the cap going down next year and possibly others no more ticket price increase for a while. well at least there should not be

You forget how little respect the league/owners have for their fans...
If people come back and sell out arenas and buy a bunch of shit, they will once again feel as if they can do whatever they want.

Do the Oil buy out Horcoff and give his number 10 to Yakupov?

Back in the day, When trevor linden said high salaries don't solely cause high ticket prices everyone wanted to string him up

Its all about supply and demand

Yup if people want to keep getting bent over and keep buying tickets, owners in big hockey markets will keep increasing ticket prices

But is it False demand with a supposed 7000 shee ... I mean ... person waiting list???

Id like to see what happens if the conservatives change the tax deductibility rules on entertainment expenses

Unfortunately, I live in Ottawa (unfortunate enough!) and don't get to see many Penguins games. If they play in Ottawa once this year, I'll probably still try to go. Sorry!

But I'll hold off on any merch purchases. I've usually had a new jersey every year, and some T's for the wife, but not this time.

Really was hoping they'd go with the free centre ice as a payback to fans. It would be a genius move - hook existing fans on centre ice, and maybe help retain / get new fans in struggling markets. But I heard that idea has been kiboshed.

yeah but that was created using that. I dont think the fans that are real fans are part of that. but its true huge demand for the canucks sad they have won 2 things in this league jack and shit and jack left town some time ago.

As i stated earlier, its improbable because the cable and dish carriers want their pound of flesh

I have heard the nhl.com online game centre live may be a free option for all though
