BIG FUCKING DEAL!!!! They couldn't reach this agreement 5 months ago? Fuck those billionaire's and millionaire's this was just a big game of cat and mouse at our expense. After the last lockout I didn't watch again until 2009. Maybe they'll get me back in time for the 2018 SCF. AND FUCK JEREMY JACOBS!!! I DON'T FOLLOW THE BRUINS UNTIL YOU'RE 6 FEET UNDER!!!!!

Too much Debbie Downer talk in here.

FYI: Most people will go back to watching. Your personal stance will mean nothing, just as it didn't the last time.

No, the NHL deserves this criticism, along with the PA. It's abuse of power. When it's a publicly funded business and you withhold your product to put pressure on your business partner it only spells out one word.

Here is a good song about it

Criticize all you want. The ten people crusading against the NHL aren't going to bring down the big, bad corporate owners.

Sorry, I don't find it to be some noble cause. Owners and players wanted more money - this is apparently shocking news to some people. I was frustrated while it was going on like anyone else, but I'm not going to deny myself one of the greatest pleasures of my life in order to take some sort of stand against greedy people. Let's be real here, the number of fans who decide to not watch will be very few, just like last time.

We just spent months pissing and moaning. I was kind of hoping to come in here and see some positivity.

I have a confession to make:

I, PP48, have secretly purchased/had purchased for me NHL merchandise during the lockout. 1. I got an NHL goal light for my man cave as an xmas gift. 2. I was given a Minnesota Wild Parise jersey for xmas as well.

I apologize.

What is my punishment?

To each their own.

I respect your opinion. Just don't forget that you control where you put your money. If others feel the need to put their's elsewhere, I see nothing wrong with that decision.

Professional sports aren't like other businesses or corporations. They enjoy exclusive operating rights that protect them more or less as monopolies.

I always liked Parise even before he was a devil, but I could never bring myself to buy anything Devils. Also I love Minny's third jersey, they are my favorite in the league. I will definitely be following them this year when I have time.

The goal light is sick. I still need to build a shelf above my TV for it, but it's going to be badass.

I understand the whole "voting with your wallet" thing, and I don't disagree with it. I personally am going to hit up some of my favorite bars near Consol for a bunch of games and probably will only go to a few games at the arena. But I don't think you are personally winning by denying yourself something you love completely (not even watching on TV). It's not a different brand of peanut butter here. It's a game that most of us grew up loving, supporting teams that are a part of our identity, and bonding with friends and family over the ups and downs of season after season.

dont have to make a difference or message to the owners/players. just have to make one to oneself. thats all that matters. its means a lot to Biz that he cancelled his season tickets. or to someone who wont go or watch a game this season. I think it means alot when I see it and when I cancel my season tickets. I know it means nothing to the team to you or many others but it does to me and thats all thats important. Ill watch the game of course I love the GAME but I dont have what I had before. Ive spent over $100,000 on tickets/booze etc over the last 12 years since I have held when I started with an ice pak to now full seasons for the last 5 years. I choose not to spend anymore that way and I know they dont care which is why its wrong

im voting with my wallet ... other things better to do with my money than give it to a corp. that treats its consumers this poorly

I don't think anyone thinks they are going to bankrupt the NHL. My main point is this lockout on the heels of the last lockout shows how little the league and the PA care about the fans. We came back last time so they take for granted that we will continue to come back.

Why should I spend my entertainment dollars, as few as I have, on a product that has shown it could give a fuck less about me? The only voice that I have with the NHL is my pocket book and I mean to let them know how I feel.

I love the game of hockey, nothing will change that. I will still watch it and I will play it until I am unable but I will not spend money on the NHL product. I don't think that is being negative, I think it is being honest.

Late to the party, but I'm here now and happy. Can't wait to see the first game. Even if it's Pens/Flyers or Pens/Caps.

Beantown said he didn't watch again until 2009 last time and they might have him for 2018. But I understand that's not the prevailing opinion around here now.
