Thats a false statement. He isn't as good, but he doesn't play like crap. He still has a 2:1 TD:INT ration, throws for about 240 a game and completes about 60% of his passes.

So he is basically Dalton before this year.

Not exactly sure what you are laughing at. I would have definitely gave that award to Hall as well. The fact he missed very little time, still played a damn good level (not as good as he used to, but two torn achilles and a couple added years to his age).

I agree with Hill being the Offensive Player of the Year, and Hall being the Comeback Player of the Year.

Hall had (IMO) his worst year as a professional with the possible exception of his rookie year. He looked old and slow. I was mostly laughing at Hobs over-the-top enthusiasm about writing an article about an aging CB that really didn't play well this year.

If you really want to give out Bengals Oscars, I'm thinking I'd give my comeback player of the year to Huber. I realize he only really missed three games or so, but he got jacked the fuck up on that field last December. He had a broken jaw and a broken neck bone. He came back this year and was one of the top 2 punters in the league. Not bad.

BTW -- I see that Hobs stopped calling his end of the season awards 'The Marvins.'

Even Hobs knows when he's pushing the fan base a little too far.

Not a bad option either, but to have basically two new achilles and be on the wrong side of 30 at a demanding position that requires speed...Hall did a damn fine job.

There is a big difference between 'did a good job' and 'did a good job given the circumstances.'

We had good DB depth and Marvin's loyalty to vets wasn't able to cover up Leon's physical ailments.

If the starters aren't Dennard and Kirkpatrick I'm gonna do nothing and still be a fan of this shit franchise.

I'm more dedicated than you.

I'm going to complain about it at least a dozen or so times on the SportsHoopla.

And still be a fan of this shit franchise.

I'm thinking it's time for therapy.

I'm going to start watching some other games, exercising, or doing things around the house and yard. if the Bengals do well, I'll pay for NFL rewind and go back and watch. but this team is just not good for my health. the bastards.
