Sorry Pittsburgh people, I guess there just might be a curse hanging over the Pirates as well.

That umpire deserves to be suspended. That was as bas as the Galarraga call last season.
yeeesh
Jerry cannot be allowed to contribute anything more to this series, can he? He cannot be allowed to just get away with this without some form of punishment, right? And no, I'm not just looking for a misty eyed hand-shake with Mckenry before the game (a la Jim Joyce).
This smacks of "i'm tired, it was close enough, let's go the fuck home."
That's not good enough. Not when both teams had contributed two games worth of baseball in one evening.

This is baseball. Not gonna happen.
The worst part is the 3 way dogfight that is the NL Central. I realize it is only 1 loss and they may have lost regardless but this could keep them from winning the division. I can't see any of the 3 teams separating themselves from each other.
I just hope this doesn't keep them out of the post-season.
Don't be so negative, this could kickstart them as well.
Bad calls are going to happen, but it's only 1/162nd of the season. No guarantee that the Pirates win the game anyway, but I understand the frustration since it looked like it brushed his leg.
I can also understand the bad call since he barely brushed the leg. Even the announcer botched it while watching the instant replay and saying the catcher tagged him "again on the arm." Reffing is a tough ass job.
