What do you mean?I meant to put that in the Canes Week thread....

@oaknightshockey1 is all powerful en sech!
This place is pretty dead for being a day and a half away from playing thee Miami Hurricanes.
Yeah, but we're the fanbase...Outside of the two fan bases, there is no interest in the two programs any more.
This was the "Halftime Pick'em" on ESPN
Ole Miss @ Alabama (Alabama -7)
Stanford @USC (USC -10)
Auburn @ LSU (LSU -7)
Cal @ Texas (Cal -7)
Cal @ Texas instead of Nebraska @ Miami. (Miami -3.5)
That should tell you all you need to know.
Yeah, but we're the fanbase...
I guess that's true. I feel like I have a bad feeling about this game thanks to the previous staff. I don't expect us to win, even though intellectually I think we are the better team. I'm just used to the team not showing up when the lights are bright.Nebraska fans haven't lost interest, but they've lost expectations. I don't see people get angry at losses any more. They expect them, make excuses for them, even defend them.
Some were defending BoPleeny all the way up to his final game.

I just really don't think they're as good as they are being made out to be. Doesn't make the feeling of impending doom go away.I think Nebraska has a chance. But that is just the homer in me.
That and Al Golden is a turrible head coach.

Spend about 5 minutes listening to Omaha sports talk radio. Bahe and then probably 75% of the callers make them out to be '01 Miami.Miami?
Who's making them out to be good? :confused2:
They've been a worse program than Nebraska. The only real difference in how far they've both fallen in the last dozen years is the Miami fan base has lost interest.
Where Nebraska is a 3rd tier program on the field, they're still a top 10 program in faciities and fan base. Miami is a 3rd tier program (even 4th) on the field and in their fan base.
Unfortunately this is the type of game Nebraska loses.
