like this article but necessarily agree with replacing Kaep now. but still a good read.

As i posted days ago, replace Kaep when you feel enough locker room support is gone. ie when enough players are wondering what's going on, name Gabbert the starter. No exact time Tomsula will know this and all he can do is sense it.

Kap. I just flat out think he is not an NFL worthy QB and not the future for the 9ers as I have posted prior. I gave it time and still the same issues. Athough we have not heard of locker room support issues, T Smith's actions in the last game spoke volumes to me. That being said I have started to look into the drafting of a QB for the future and the prospects are not the greatest. This team could take some years yet again to be contenders considering the way the league has changed into the 'QB driven, high scoring' mode.

I agree. But what did Torrey Smith do? Maybe you meant Boldin, who was clearly upset?

I agree, once Kap loses the players in the locker room yes we need to replace him.

What I find amusing about this is when Tomsula is asked about the QB and personnel changes, the press hangs onto every word like he is being completely forthcoming. Even if the coaching staff was considering personnal changes, especially at QB, they are not going to admit it at a press conference.

I think to be fair first they need to change up the Oline 1st and then replace Kap. I still don't get how they haven't made changes. Does Tomsula just think one day Pears and Devey and Martin are going to be great. these are the changes I would make.

Brown at RT, Boone back at RG and then Tillery or Thomas to LG. I guess Martin at center for now. I would replaced him with the guy we just traded. This way u have a vet on each side.

Or not a Big change is just change Boone to RG and Devey to LG just like I said in the other statement , u get a Vet on each side of the Line.

Another Change can be Boone to RT and then Tillery or Thomas at LG

There are plenty of change this staff can do before they replace Kap. If everything still fails then u replace Kap and say bye bye to him.

Carlos Hyde is not impressed either; neither, it seems, is Boldin.

Hyde is not only playing stacked boxes, the safeties are playing up to the line. Add to that the oline is getting pushed back on almost ever handoff, there just isn't anywhere for Hyde to go.

Read my post again. I did not say Hyde was not impressive, in fact I'm very impressed. I said, he is not impressed with Kaepernick, or so his post-game comments in Arizona would lead one to believe.

The answer for his woes, once again, seems to be his mechanics. Fox Sports' Ross Jones spoke to Chris Ault, who coached Kaepernick at University of Nevada. Ault said a major issue is Kaepernick's technique not coinciding with his arm strength:

"He was a pitcher, as everyone knows. He threw that thing 93 or 94 miles per hour. He has a low elbow at times. It’s not a sidearm throw by any means, but his elbow and arm are at 90 degrees instead of having that thing extended all the way up. He does that because he’s so doggone strong. He’s one of the few guys that can get away throwing that way, but when you have to make the touch pass, drop it over (coverage), or if you have to anticipate where a receiver is going, that type of release often times makes you very inconsistent."

Ok his throwing motion clearly isn't helping, but we all know it is more the lack of intangibles, than motion.

At this point, Chryst can only design plays to utilize what Kaep does best, including runs. Too late to work on his passing mechanics, and coaching can't infuse intangibles.

Look like its not Kap. back to back good games. Right now D is the problem and then Oline and then Coaching. I can't watch this D anymore. Mangini is bad.

I agree that other aspects of the team are important and that Kap has played well the last two games, but as long as he is a starter who has not won a Super Bowl, he'll always get a lot of criticism. It's just the life of an NFL starting QB. Look what they're saying about Alex Smith right now.

Chiefs fans have officially given up on Alex Smith

This I agree with you but he has made it to the super bowl, not many QB even get there. Don't get me wrong he started the year out Really bad but I really think most of the blame should be on the Oline and coaching and then him. Now this team should be 3-3 if the D did anything against the Giants and they almost blew yesterday game.

I blame Mangini. Fangio has the bears as the #5 D and we 100% have more talent on D then the Bears. No reason to be 31st in the league. That falls on the coach and needs to get fired right away.

kaepernick has had a pretty rough season but I am pretty pleased by the way he has bounced back.

That pass to Patton for a TD wasn't as pretty as a couple of those dimes he dropped on Boldin, Smith, and Miller but the way he worked the pocket and sidestepped the pressure, acted like he was going to run, then bounced back into the pocket sidestepping the pressure again and then finding Patton wide open in the endzone made me shed tears of joy...

Kaep's strength is throwing downfield, because he can get it there fast. Too bad he can't see it sooner, throw it sooner. Yes i know.......unfortunately, our O-line doesn't give him consistent time.

One that went to Boldin was fantastic.
