It's also not worth noting because it sounds like it's very much a long shot :L

Anyways, I'm sure most of you have already heard, but he is a "possible" candidate for the HC position at Texas State. It is reported he would be making less as HC for Texas State than he is already being WAY OVERPAID here at Nebraska as OC.

I wouldn't put any hope on this........but it is something to think about.

No one wants him, we are doomed to get stuck with ol dick in the mouth for yet another disappointing season. If the brass were going to fire him it would have been done by now.

Dennis Franchione, Tim Brewster, Rocky Long, and Bobby Jack Wright are the finalists for the Texas St job.

I mean honestly though........if Bo can't see that Shawn Watson is not the right fit for this team, then I wonder if Shawn left, who the hell would Bo Pelini hire???? I'm almost afraid to know who it would be......

This is why I think Tom Osborne needs to step in here at some point and give some input.........there is no way in hell that Tom Osborne sees this team being successful with Watson at OC

No, Osborne needs to sit there and be the AD. This is Bo's team and Osborne needs to, and does, need to let Bo handle his team.

Yea, I agree........but can Bo make the right decision? I'm starting to lose confidence that he can. Bo is one of my favorite coaches of all time of any sport for any team I've ever watched...........but he continues to back Watson, so what does this mean?

It means he is no better than Billy C.

3 years with zero championships of anything and he is already your favorite coach ever? WOW!!! He is not even on my top ten.

In my opinion, Bo Pelini is on a level WAAAAAAY beyond anything Callahan ever dreamed of being at.

You probably knew this was coming, but I have to post it anyways. Tom Osborne took over a Nebraska program in 1973 that had already established itself as one of the elite programs in the country.

He didn't win a conference title outright until 1981. His first 3 seasons resulted in (9-2-1), (9-3), and (10-2) seasons with 2 bowl wins and 1 bowl loss.

Nebraska is currently trying to reestablish itself.......Bo took over a program that was in complete shambles and restored it to a decent program instantly. Think about the fact that these last 2 seasons we had players all over the field who played back in Callahan's last season. They came a long way since then.

I said he is no better than Billy C in fact fact that he is staying to loyal to a guy he needs to get rid of and in the long run it may cost him his job.

Any attempt to compare what happened in the days of college football 30-40 years ago will be ignored by me. It means nothing and it is an incomparable situation. Things have changed way to much for it to be even remotely comparable.
