Not everything can be changed. You pick your battles and fight for the things worth changing. Giving people the "right" to not wear a suit to a meeting with clients will lose you the client, not make a stand against it being "wrong".

Thats pretty much my point. Thats why I said lack of conviction. If its not worth changing then is it really a belief you have? People with complete conviction are willing to lose out on things for their beliefs. Some will die for them. Anything less is really just lip service.

Actually, I did learn something from it so it isn't a waste. I will just have to make sure I don't cast any bias at all that relates to how a person looks or appears.

I didn't realize that I was biased before but I can see it now. I will have to work on that.

Well, sometimes we have bias and don't realize it is bias!

That was my case here. I thank Lakers for getting me to see it for what it is. No use denying something that is obvious. Especially when it can only help you to overcome something negative about your own personal world view.

Wow! How can you assume someone is a thug by a picture? People that stereotype live in a small world protected and limited by assumptions. What constitutes a normal person? Do they have to agree with you to be considered normal? If a so called normal person thinks he is a thug simply because of a picture then they are just ignorant. Just because his chosen look is not what you think is straight laced that doesn't make him a thug. That kind of thinking reminds me of that show where the owner of a store was so engrossed in watching a "hood" black person shopping he didn't notice the lily white blond chick robbing him blind.

I'm not sure we could get a majority opinion of what constitutes what is and what isn't a thug.

You go on and on about what looking like a thug is then I post a picture of somebody that appears to be a thug per your definition and you call him a white guy (not thug) and say it looks as if he were photo shopped into a picture with what appears to be thugs by your definition...
