If you knew the fucking answer, why didn’t you post that the first time.

Fucking commie

Didn't know. Thought somebody would have responded and posted it.

The thread that @AlaskaGuy started about the SEC NFL draft picks gave me half the answer.

14 Players. That's amazing.

Would be interesting to know how many players came out and were Drafted in the old Big 8 in 1995, and what that percentage is vs other conferences, like this breakdown of 2019.

SEC sets a record while LSU joins a small group of elites

Maybe somebody knows the answer already.

.

Not hard. If you weren't so lazy, you could do it.

See, in 2020 there is this thing called the Interwebs that has lots of random stuff that people have placed on these magic servers out there accessible with the cloud.

No Big 8 players drafted in the second round, but the SEC had six. I will leave the rest of draft as an exercise for you, the grasshopper, to do.

From that draft, no SEC players and no Big 8 players have been elected into the NFL Hall of Fame.

Nebraska crushed their opponents and removed their starters beginning in the 3rd quarter, meanwhile, LSU played their starters into the 4th quarter because of needing style points for the CFP. If Nebraska would have needed style points back then, then the media would have cried how unfair it is that Nebraska played their starters the entire game.

Total Selections:
SEC 2020 - 62
Big 8 1996 - 23

Avg/team:
SEC 2020 - 4.42
Big 8 - 2.8

Draft Picks Played Against:
LSU 2020 - 51
Avg/Team - 3.4

Nebraska 1996 - 28
Avg/Team - 2.3

LSU wasn't only much more talented, they also had to play against more talent on an average basis.

The bold part just isn't backed up facts. At least from an LSU standpoint.

LSU outscored their opponents by 374 points in Quarters 1-3, on an average of 8.3 points per Quarter.

LSU outscored their opponents by 28 points in the 4th Quarter, on an average of 1.9 points per Quarter.

LSU pretty clearly let up in the 4th Quarter. And out of those 28 points, 14 came in the FCS game, if you take that game out they outscored their opponents by an average of 1 point per game in the 4th Quarter.

Also the logic of them even needing style points is ridiculous because of the CFP. All they had to do was win games and they were good to go. If anything Nebraska was the one needing style points because you could only vote for ONE team back then, not 4 like now. Fortunately for the 1995 team, they got matched up with #2 in their bowl game.

Yeah, but there were 6 more players drafted in 2020.

(Does the math in his head)......

Nuts.

Nebraska was rated #2 to start the season, and #1 after 7 games.

LSU was rated #6 to start the season, moved up to #4, moved down to #5 in week 6 and week 7, moved up to #2, then up to #1, then back to #2, then back to #1, then back to #2 in week 14, LSU needed style points way more than Nebraska. The CFP requires style points. Why was LSU moving down in the polls IF THEY WERE WINNING? Style points.

LSU struggled to beat the good teams in the first half of their season. After the Alabama game, then, LSU started rolling.

Nebraska did not struggle with any of the good teams.

Realistically this is all you need to know.

Number of draft picks doesn't stand scrutiny to CFB dominance, this has been proven NUMEROUS times.
