I'm a closet Raider fan - always been my 2nd favorite team since the Hawks left the AFC... I hope Carroll cleans them up, pointing them into the right direction...

No way we'd get a 1st for him - especially with him being due a new contract..... It's part of the reason we're tinkering around with trading him... His value drops because of that...

I am an optimist at heart but haven't been this excited in a while. I wanted Vrabel or Carroll and love the Carroll hire.

Same... I still feel we had better rivalries built w/in the AFC West than we do know..... Playing the Raiders/Broncos as a Seahawks fan was can't miss football from a Hawks fan perspective... Our rivalry is obviously the 49ers but it still doesn't have that same feel that it did playing the Raiders/Broncos back in the day, imo...

It's important to have the Raiders clean things up because when the Raiders are consistently good, the NFL is at a different level...

I'm thinking right in the middle of that with at best a 3rd, depending on who our trade partner is and how much they value DK. Deebo is a bad comp because he has been used up by Shanahan and can't stay on the field anymore. The Niners knew they weren't going to get much back for him and really just wanted to get rid of him because his cost was too high, imo. I think they are just trying to look ahead to free up cap space. They weren't going to extend him anyway and got what they could.

My hate for the Broncos mirror images my hate of Mcvey and the Rams. Right now Seattle struggles against LA like wise they did against John Elway's Broncos. The fact our only SB victory against them makes it that much sweeter.

Raiders/Hawks were good games. At times it was a toss up on who wins but they were fierce games.

Those Hawks/Broncos games I always wonder what could have been if Seattle's FO was 5mins quicker when Baltimore put up Elway for trade.
