I think there is more talent to challenge for the position, especially if Darlington is able to play. Tito had zero competition, making it easy to ride him till he broke. Hopefully, whoever loses out to start the season doesn't play the transfer game as so many kids are apt to do these days.

I agree but I also believe the coaches hitched on and other recruits saw it. I hope no one transfer but I do see that happen . I also dont see darlington doing much here football wise.

but I think TA will surprise us next year I want to see him a full year before people write him off we really haven't seen JS4

I completely agree with you.

IMO he's the best QB prospect Nebraska has had in ten years. To me he will be special and yes IMO he looks a lot like Frost. Don't get me wrong I like TA I just feel from what I've seen of both JS has more speed then TA plus his skills at throwing the football are better. We will find out this spring.

I know there are Broekemeier, Fyfe, and Williams(Dad is Jamie Williams), but I know squat about them. Other than their names. I think Fyfe got a snap or two during the season

Next year we're gonna have a hell of a QB battle.

Tommy has gained a lot of great experience, and winning the Gator Bowl against a top 25 SEC opponent is going to send him into next season with a ton of momentum.

Either way, I think it is all good. Hopefully Bo and Beck saw the need to get lots of reps for the top 2 QBs. With Tito, they would play him hurt even when the game was in hand. Smarter coaching is what I am hoping for here...

If Tommy doesn't improve off season wise JS4 might take the starter position. depend on who has the better passing game. Also I wish our qb would get better development and coaching. Both qb need to be ready and get all the reps needed

I don't foresee anything happening in that regard. If I were a bettin' man, I'd bet RKIII takes Ganz spot....

I think Tommy just added a big edge and space .
JS will need a BIG offseason.

I really think Tommy would benefit from a Gus Malzahn run like offense. I just hope he gets his passing game ready defense will test it

I agree with AHfox, reminds me of a Frost with a better touch on the pass. Jed, it concerns me he has had trouble with the scout team. On the other hand, I have been very unsatisfied with TA at the helm. Seems like he kills drives, and cannot make anything impressive happen...minus a record setting 99 yard pass.

To be fair the defense is usually confused by the defense as well so I won't hold that against him too much.

not exactly relevant but according to some people Tommy was blowin by people in spring ball last year (near-tiro style…but slightly less speed much more shake) and the knee injury really slowed him down.

perhaps with a full offseason to really strengthen that knee tommy will get back a bit more of his speed

I don't think Tommy was 100 this season and the ankle injury didn't help at all either. I agree I like to see him get a full off season and reps in practice. I like his running style a mix of shake and bake/with some good speed. tmart had track speed but in traffic I held my breath.

Jamrog said as much yesterday, but he also said that Stanton has a huge upside if he develops on schedule.
