While showering this occurred to me.

Tommy Armstrong Jr is the possible starter
John Stanton IV is the backup?

I know there are Broekemeier, Fyfe, and Williams(Dad is Jamie Williams), but I know squat about them. Other than their names. I think Fyfe got a snap or two during the season

If Tommy doesn't improve off season wise JS4 might take the starter position. depend on who has the better passing game. Also I wish our qb would get better development and coaching. Both qb need to be ready and get all the reps needed

Jay Foreman believes it will be Stanton as the starter. He does not elaborate though.

I just mean Pelini will hitch his wagon to him and ride him into the ground. TA will transfer and we will have no one when he gets hurt who understands the offense.

It takes allot to impress Foreman, I think he speaks from watching him in some practices like some other folks close to the program

My hope is Stanton will be, but TA has been bothered by an injury so maybe we didn't get the full show from him this year either. Red White game going to be a stage

I feel it won't final til Aug 18, 2014 that is a week before FAU. This spring and fall camp will be epic with the battles.

agree, definitely going to be a good battle. I'll admit I know nothing about Stanton except what I've read. Tommy runs a good option game, but if we don't improve on S&C, he's going to be hurt at some point next season. I bet we see both next year, very much like we saw Kellogg and TA after TM went down.

but completely agree with the statement that we need better QB development. A lot of interceptions by both Kellogg and TA were simple stare downs of receivers. How hard is it to see a guy is covered and then go to option #2? If he's covered, move to #3, and so on. If you are feeling pressure get out, perferably forward to minimize the loss on the play or even pick up a yard or two.

If you can find it the Elite 11 shows on "Disney" had it.

That is something that comes with experience. RK would have been better at following the progressions if he had more PT earlier in his career. Hopefully folks have learned to trust the back ups more in the future and get them on the field more.

I hope Tommy get healed up

and I hope whoever wins we don't pull a tmart and hitch our next 4 years to him. Let him earn it if he's slipping let him know the back up is right behind him and ready.

We lost alot of qb because they felt they wouldn't have gotten a fair chance to challenge the spot. Some went to sit deep down other teams rosters.

give them both a fair chance and give them the proper reps and practice. that all I ask, may the best man win

I think there is more talent to challenge for the position, especially if Darlington is able to play. Tito had zero competition, making it easy to ride him till he broke. Hopefully, whoever loses out to start the season doesn't play the transfer game as so many kids are apt to do these days.

Stanton IMO will be the starter. I just think the kid will be a better version of Scott Frost more speed and better skills throwing the football. I do have to say enough of Johnny Tebow fuck that maybe Johnny Frost. All Tebow was and is a poor mans version of Scott Frost.

As of right now everything is pure speculation.....

If I had to guess though.......I would bet Tommy starts the season and Stanton takes over at some point. I only say that because I watched Stanton in High School and he is unreal. He won't razzle dazzle anyone......he won't wear an arm sleeve or a visor.....he won't look cool..........but he will play hard. Scott Frost style.

He didn't look like a high school kid when I watched him. He was a man amongst boys.

my concern with the qbs next year is that imo there is a pretty big difference in what each brings to the table. This year I personally thought that the offense was custom built for TM making it a bit difficult for either Tommy or Ronny to run it correctly. Will next year be the same situation if God forbid we have one go down.
