Is Michigan officially a dead program like Nebraska?

Both have great histories (especially Michigan before the forward pass was a thing) but both aren't sniffing a playoff run any time soon.

Michigan is paying a coach the most in the NCAA who has never won an important thing in his life.

Nebraska hired a nice guy who has clearly seen the game pass him by.

I would include Miami (FL) but Mark Richt is actually a great hire.

Nebraska isn’t at that high a level right now.

Sigh.

You are a moron. There is no other way to put it. The list of traditional powers that have gone down for a period and then reemerged onto the national scene is a long one.

You're gonna have major down swings as a program when you rely on talent coming from over 1000 miles away. Georgia has never had an excuse to be down with the abundance of local talent, but hopefully we have a coach that can capitalize now.

I don't think Michigan has had a decent QB in the last 10 years. Without that they'll never get anywhere. Same with Nebraska. Martinez was good at times, but not enough times.

So why do you think the talent level in GA or other southern states is greater than up in OH or MI? The population base is virtually the same in all 3 states..

Miami has been a hell of a lot more relevant more recently than Michigan.

Is there a way to answer this without sounding racist?
