The conditioning thing is way overblown. Luka led the NBA in minutes and played till the Finals. Go back and watch Luka lighting up the TWolves and watch him and Antman go at it. Antman looked like he was in the 15th round of a scheduled 12 round fight

Yeah, I don't know anything about his off-season workouts, etc. I know that at 25, he can get away with a lot of stuff that he won't be able to in about 5-7 or so years.

If he adjusts what he does in the off-season as he gets older, he should be fine. If he does like Shaq who liked to "play himself into shape" and never adjusted as he got older, then it'll become an issue.

He's even better than you guys realize. It's like with Lakers players yall watch every night and know all their ins and outs. This guy is insanely good. Makes yall a title contender every year

Yeah, I can say that I don't remember much, if any, talk about his conditioning until this trade, when it started coming up as a possible reason that ownership wanted to move him. It does seem odd that conditioning would come up as an issue for a guy who led the league in mpg.

Led the league in minutes per game and was awesome to the Finals. If you took Luka and Tatum and set those to guys to the side as something of a wash, look at the rest of last year's Boston team against the rest of that Mavs team. Luka carried that team. Boston was just a far better and deeper team at the end

Why/how would he do so, when he's never reliably made Dallas a title contender? Hell, he only made the playoffs two-thirds of the time. As I've stated several times, your sentence above would have been roundly mocked at any time before last May.

He's a great player, but let's stick a little closer to reality. He's an extremely-high usage and not very high efficiency scorer. He's a below-average 3-point shooter, and his eFG% is league-average -- so he's not moving the needle when he shoots. His FGA last year were more than Bryant ever attempted, save one season. His passing and his ability to get 8 FTs a game are valuable, but his defense is not, and those traits alone do not make a contender.

He took a team to the Finals last season that had no business being there. He averaged 34/9/9. He's 25. He's getting better. Maybe you need to study a little basketball history cuz. Look up 5 time 1st team all NBA players at age 25...it won't take long, it's a short list. See how they did as far as titles are concerned. Maybe you should stick with tennis son

Again, so did Allen Iverson at precisely the same age. That did not mean Iverson's presence made his team a contender in any season before, or since.

So did Jimmy Butler a few years ago. Again, that did not and does not mean that Butler's presence makes his team a contender.

So did Kawhi Leonard a few years ago. Again, that did not and does not mean that Leonard's presence makes his team a contender.

He averaged 34/9/9. He's 25. He's getting better.

Not according to his numbers so far this season.

If his mere presence renders a team a title contender, how exactly did Dallas finish 11th in the West two seasons ago -- missing the playoffs by 3 spots?

Maybe you need to study a little basketball history cuz.

You really really do not want to go there after humiliating yourself in that other thread by suggesting that the Celtics took "a few" titles from the Showtime Lakers. ( cf: Just for fun: if you could see any player from past eras play in today's NBA, who would you want to see? ) That was astonishingly ignorant from anyone who claims to follow professional basketball.

I actually cannot believe that you are still commenting here, after that embarrassing doozy.

Man I would tell you you're the dumbest poster on the hoop but you already know that. People on the politics thread used to think you were a troll, but you are genuinely special needs. Allen Iverson LMAO.

See…

That is the problem though. In his mind he believes he is the smartest poster here and that everyone else is dumb.

For me it's a small concern - He started training camp at 255 and now is 10 to 15 pounds heavier - The BMI needs to be looked at and re-visited, but. ....It has NOT stopped him from scoring and doing what he is supposed to do., So yes - It has been exaagerated

In the mean time - One of the coaches in Dallas quit over it.

Least shocking news of the day: Davis is now out for around a month.

Welcome to the Anthony Davis experience, MFFLs.
Now I will have to agree with you on this one - LMAO -

Or he knew it was one of the worst trades in NBA history. Either way
Well it wasn't the worst trade for the Lakers - but Dallas is going for the win right now and then rebuild later - With Davis and Irving - my spin is they have a good chance for this year and next -

Win what Bro? I keep hearing that. The Mavs were in the Finals last year. There's only one result that is better than that. And it ain't happening

Not this year - Next year if they build with the right addition - Personally - I would rather have Doncic over Davis - and from what I am saying - so would anyone else except for that Tlc nutcase -
