I say he is. Has an incredible arm and I believe he will win a SB soon.

Maybe if he had more than 1 wr to throw to but right now, I would say he is top 15.

1. Tom Brady
2. Aaron Rodgers
3. Ben Roethlisberger
4. Drew Brees
5. Matt Ryan
6. Russell Wilson

After that... I could see any of the following squeezing into the top 10:
Andrew Luck
Matt Stafford
Derek Carr
Phillip Rivers
Cam Newton
Jameis Winston
Eli Manning

Top 10, probably but closer to 10 than 5. He will be a top 5 in the next couple of years. What he needs is an OL, and someone to screw his head on straight. he still makes stupid mistakes and get rattled.

Solid list, mine would look a bit different. My take, in this order:

Tom Brady
Matt Ryan
Derek Carr
Kirk Cousins
Drew Brees
Aaron Rodgers
Dak Prescott
Matt Stafford
Russell Wilson
Ben Roethlisberger
Andrew Luck
Marcus Mariota
Jameis Winston
Joe Flacco
Eli Manning
Cam Newton
Phillip Rivers

Is he top 10?

I'd take him in the top 10, but he still has some growing to do and he works his ass off - so when he gets a few more weapons, he's gonna be deadly. He's a winner and he wants to destroy defenses. Just needs to keep things in check and play smart.

Him and Mariota are going to be pretty dam good.

If I were a GM drafting today, I'd have Winston in the top 10. I'd take him over some better guys like Brees, Rodgers, probably even Brady. But that is because of the skill and age combo. My list earlier is just top-10 for this season, not taking into account future or prior talent/accomplishments.

What was so unreal about Jameis at FSU was his completion % on 3rd down, Especially his sophomore year. Junior year he would have an awful 1st half but an unreal 2nd half, but he found a way to get it done. That offense with Jameis, Kelvin B, Greene, O'Leary, Devonte Freeman, Wilder Jr, Karlos Williams was pretty sick. Defense was pretty dam good too.

I think JW will be the same way on 3rd down in the NFL soon.

As is yours... Interesting that you hold a division rival, Cousins, in such high regard.

I just don't think Winston is that good.

sidebar: Seems there are about 20 QBs in the top 10 nowadays...

He's putting up impressive numbers. The wins aren't there and I think he misses throws he should make, but they aren't losing because of him.

Plus I REALLY want him to get a lot of money for a long time and stick around

Current snapshot in time? No way he's top 10. Rodgers, Brady, Wilson, Brees, Roethlisburger, Luck, Ryan, Stafford, Carr are all clearly better and that's 9. So the only way Winston is top 10 is if you think he's above every one of: Manning, Rivers, Newton, Cousins, Flacco, Dalton, Prescott, and Mariota. I'm not even sure Winston is better than Alex Smith or Ryan Tannehill, let alone all of those other guys.

If you're talking for this year the answer is no. If you're talking a guy to take for the future then yeah. Right now if you could take any QB in the league for the next 5 years who would you take over Winston? No one in the AFC East, maybe Big Ben in the North but maybe not ( getting up there ), Luck in the South for sure, maybe Mariota, Carr in the West. NFC maybe Cousins, maybe Prescott, Rodgers? Maybe but he's getting old. Stafford? Probably not. Wilson and Ryan for sure.

That leaves Luck, Carr, Wilson and Ryan as the only locks. A few maybes and a bunch of nos
