Is it time to give Ohio State some respect?

I think the B1G championship game is a HUGE help for Ohio State (if they can win). Not having a B12 title game will hurt them IMO. Regardless, I think losing by a significant margin, at home, to a 5-5 team is going to keep them from being in the discussion, unless a few teams lose the next 2 weeks.

It won't matter if Ohio State wins out if the rest of the top 4 win out. If someone stumbles, tOSU could easily get in.

It's not just Team SEC sack sniffers, it's the media as well. Listening to the so called "experts" on ESPNU, it has been mentioned why tOSU would be left out and it is due to the B1G being down. HOWEVER, you can take it with a grain of salt with what some of these guys say. I don't know who it was, but one of them called Arkansas a "good" team the other day :L

TAMU is still a quality win according to the media.

But don't worry tOSU fans, Texas will eliminate TCU THanksgiving night to help you guys out. Baylor on the other hand, they will be tough to beat out. I don't think they're going to lose from here on out and win the conference again.

Baylor Bears back to back Big 12 champs.........When the fuck did you ever think you would be saying that shizz???!!!

Already ahead of Baylor and the B1G CCG will keep Ohio State ahead of the Bears.

You mean if a lot of people stumble? They need at least 3 teams ahead of them to lose IMO (or at least have back to back terrible games)

If Ohio State somehow wins out, gets in the playoffs and wins those too, will Hammer close down the Hoop?

No, they need 1 of the top 4 to lose. They are 6th right now, and I'm saying that its entirely possible that they leapfrog TCU the same way they leapfrogged Baylor if they win out, especially if they do it convincingly.

I don't think those that matter, think the Big 10 is as weak as you want to make it.

I am sure they agree its behind the SEC, Big 12 , Pac, but I don't think they believe there are miles difference between any of them like TEAM SEC fans want you to believe.

I agree.. and I think Indian beating Missouri earlier in season proves that. Also MSU beat the PAC champ in the Rose Bowl last year. I think the BIG will do well in the bowl games this season.

They aren't the highest ranked two loss team, they got killed by 5-4 Florida team, and they aren't even in first in the SEC East. They just aren't good enough this year to deserve a spot, even if they win out (SEC champ included). Although they will probably be a force to reckon with next year, now that Chubb is showing himself to be a 2015 Heisman candidate.

That's not how UGA rolls. Even when we're good we'll lose to some teams we shouldn't. The thing that makes Georgia dangerous is they will have to play a ranked Georgia Tech team and a team ranked #1 to win the CCG. I don't think anybody else in the top 10 has that kind of possibility of momentum into the end of the season. A win over GT gets them to the front of the 2 loss group and a win against Bama might (but there's no guarantee) let them jump a 1 loss team on the bubble.

He will definitely need a case of preparation-H to get rid of the all the butt-hurt he's gonna experience.

Already ahead of Baylor and the B1G CCG will keep Ohio State ahead of the Bears.

But is it enough to bump them ahead of TCU, Miss St, Oregon, and/or Alabama? Because they need a lot of help right now.

IMO, TCU is vulnerable, but they have a pretty easy schedule the next 2 weeks. Miss St still has a game @ Ole Miss, Oregon should easily glide into the P12 championship, and Alabama will likely have a tough game against Auburn, but the SEC Championship should be a blowout.

FSU has been vulnerable this season, so maybe Florida can bite them, and OSU can jump them. The bottom line is that OSU doesn't stand much of a chance, unless the stars align for them. After all the crap they've taken the past 4-5 years, maybe the gods of football will smile on them and we'll see them in the playoffs. :noidea:

Baylor had a bye, probably the only reason tOSU moved up. If tOSU plays in the B1G CCG, that will make 9 conference games they will have played. Baylor plays the same amount of conference games as well. If both win their conferences, it may just come down to SOS......

Like I said, they need one of the current top 4 to lose to get in. I think they can get bumped ahead of TCU if they finish up strong.

Baylor had a bye and Ohio State beat Minnesota in relatively unconvincing fashion, yet still leaped the bears. If Baylor isn't ahead of them now, they will not be ahead of them at the end of the year if both win out. The CCG will put the nail in the coffin if Ohio State wins.

That's a good call. TCU has nothing to brag about the next 2 weeks, although the only thing that Ohio State can brag to the selection committee about is the B1G championship game. IMO, it's hard to measure a strong finish when you are playing clearly inferior teams for the rest of the regular season.

It's hard to when they haven't beat anybody yet.

Eh OSU has a better win than MSU and TCU. Baylors win is better though but OSU is already ahead of Baylor.

Baylor still has a top 15 team on their schedule. They could easily have a big game against Kansas St., and bump ahead of Ohio State again. Especially when comparing games each week for the rest of the season.

I don't think that.

I am sure you are hoping and praying we don't get a playoff spot. Unfortunately for you, just saying it doesnt' mean it won't happen.

Not me, now that we have the #1 seed, I'm liking the Buckeyes a lot better.

Go Buckeyes!!!!
