But don't worry tOSU fans, Texas will eliminate TCU THanksgiving night to help you guys out. Baylor on the other hand, they will be tough to beat out. I don't think they're going to lose from here on out and win the conference again.

Baylor Bears back to back Big 12 champs.........When the fuck did you ever think you would be saying that shizz???!!!

Except this time, Oregon would be playing for something besides pride. Just like Utah beating Alabama, and other type "Cinderella win" bowl games, I don't think bowls games, outside the BCS championship game, matter to most teams.

Don't get me wrong, I do think that OSU was better than Oregon in 2009, but IMO, I don't think you can compare the motivating factor that a playoff bowl game would bring to both teams. Especially when compared to a "win just gets a trophy" bowl game.

That 2009 game. Oregon's first bcs game in 8 years. You could tell what team had been there and who the noob was.

so wouldn't that also change tOSU's motivation in both cases too?

Must be why they keep moving Ohio State up.

I'm not sure the committee is moving them up for any other reason than the teams ahead of them are losing.

Out of the 6 teams with one loss in the top 25, Ohio State has four 1 loss teams ahead of them. That shows me they have very little confidence in Ohio State right now.

Also.

Oregon didn't want any other game more than to beat ohio in Pasadena at the time.

That was the biggest game in Ducks program history at the time.

Absolutely, but it doesn't change the fact that it was worth a little bit more than an exhibition game. Again, I think OSU was the better team that year, but I don't think that game was a good measuring stick on the potential of both teams.

How many times do we have to congratulate you on that impressive win?

Now please go hang your hat on it and let us get back to talking about the best teams in the nation.

How many currently ranked teams has Alabama beaten?
How many currently ranked teams has Ohio state beaten?

What's happening to tOSU is what has been happening to BSU and TCU (when they were part of the MWC). Those two were punished and kept out of the NC picture b/c of being in weak conferences. tOSU and the B1G had their chance to shine in the limelight in OOC and failed miserably. Now Buckeye fans think their team deserves a top 4 spot b/c they are running the table in a weak conference, comparable to what BSU fans have had to endure. Not trolling, not being a dick, just making an observation.

That's b/c TCU struggled to beat KU. Had TCU handled their business, tOSU doesn't sniff the top 6. Your conference is keeping tOSU out of the top 4.

Actually its the loss to Va Tech that is keeping them out.

That shows you that tOSU lost to Va Tech. However tOSU did jump Baylor without any change in records.

I don't think those that matter, think the Big 10 is as weak as you want to make it.

I am sure they agree its behind the SEC, Big 12 , Pac, but I don't think they believe there are miles difference between any of them like TEAM SEC fans want you to believe.

Of course that shows you OSU lost to VaTech. The problem for OSU is they have very few signature wins to hang their hat on, haven't played anyone in the current top 10, have one game against a team in the top 15, and don't have any big games coming up. Hopefully for them, Wisconsin wins out, and they can showcase that game right before the committee votes. Right now, I don't see why Ohio State deserves a spot ahead of the others, especially when you look at who they've played in the top 10 of the playoff rankings (win or lose).

It's not just Team SEC sack sniffers, it's the media as well. Listening to the so called "experts" on ESPNU, it has been mentioned why tOSU would be left out and it is due to the B1G being down. HOWEVER, you can take it with a grain of salt with what some of these guys say. I don't know who it was, but one of them called Arkansas a "good" team the other day :L

Right now they probably don't, but I have heard a lot of analysts suggest they are playing the best right now and obviously those analysts believe Michigan St is a quality win.
