I think he’s up there among the top 3-5 ever. Not sure he is the best of all time ... yet. Having said that, I’m glad he’s a Patriot.
That brittle bitch the best TE ever? LOLOLOLOLOLOL
Tony Gonzalez>Shannon Sharpe>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>.Gronk
Gonzalez stayed healthy for like 16 years and Sharpe was a winner.
talking stats alone between different eras really doesnt make a lot of sense.Tony Gonzalez first 8 seasons: 127 games, 570 catches, 6905 yards, 12.1 Y/C, 54 touchdowns, 54.4 YPG
Shannon Sharpe first 8 seasons: 123 games, 465 catches, 5991 yards, 12.9 Y/C, 34 touchdowns, 48.7 YPG
Rob Gronkowski first 8 seasons: 102 games, 474 catches, 7179 yards, 15.1 Y/C, 76 touchdowns, 70.4 YPG
Gronk has played around 20 less games than both Sharpe and Gonzalez in his first 8 seasons yet exceeds them both in nearly every statistical category.
The NFL has never seen a stretch like this by a tight end. Gronk is the type of player who can change a game. Not to mention he's arguably one of the best blocking TEs in the NFL as well. He's an amazing all around player.
If he wants to be considered the best all time he needs to play a bit longer, but he has the best 8 year stretch by any TE in NFL history and I don't believe it's even close.
Aaron Hernandez could've been better.
I mean that.
You see what Bart Scott said about him the other day?He was a great talent before he turned queer and killed that dude who knew his secret.
As a Georgia fan, I was more happy to see Hernandez turn pro than I was for Tebow graduating.

Or this....
That was an awesome double threat of TEs, probably one of the best ever. Hard to believe AH was such an idiot to throw away what could have been a great career and life.Aaron Hernandez could've been better.

Monster is still better than 4 Loco! Not by much but it is.... It's woerd though, they make the jersey look like he is playing for the Lions
This new Monster is the bomb... Monster Mango Loco
None of it makes sense. He started a family and had it all. Like a normalThat was an awesome double threat of TEs, probably one of the best ever. Hard to believe AH was such an idiot to throw away what could have been a great career and life.
I think one can of Monster a week at my Friday night poker game. I don't know the name of it, but it's in an orange can and is one of their Zero products. It's pretty good. Especially now that I can't just take an Adderall to stay up all night like I used to.
I do t know why they still play Pro Bowls.Man, I've had a bit too much wine... I've been drinking a glass for every Michael Bennett offsides penalty today...
The TE position changed many years ago to evolve into what it is today. Does anyone remember who that TE was?talking stats alone between different eras really doesnt make a lot of sense.
As a whole there is more offensive plays per game than as you go back in time.
Pass receiving is a lot easier than as you go back in time.
So of course stats per game will go up right now vs. as you go back in time.
then you have the pats who have a great offense.
The chiefs in those days werent a great offense, yet Tony still produced.
Imagine any of these guys playing in the 70's. What would their stats look like?
You can take the stats of an average pass catching TE nowadays & he would look better than the Ozzie Newsome's, Russ Francis, Kellen Winslow's of yesteryear, yet they are some of the all time greats.
It is hard to argue with people looking at stats only on this subject. Most usually have tunnel vision.
