I worry about the Penn. St. game.

1. 107,000+ fans
2. Possible night game
3. White out game
4. 1,088 miles trip from Lincoln. 12 to 16 hour travel day.
5. Can't forget about the weather.

It's not an intimidating place.

believe it or not, the fans in Austin are some of the best fans I have been around.

It was a huge party there until J. Charles ran all over us in the 4th quarter :L Even after that game, the Horns were (how do I say) not rubbing it in.

While I'm not going to say that I am not worried about PSU, there are a couple reasons I don't think some of your worries are that big of a deal. First of all, it will not be a night game. I am pretty sure the Big Ten does not allow night games in November. Second of all, the bigger the stadium, the more likely that Husker fans will get tickets, so we could potentially have a decent show of fan support.

Now that I think about it, I'm pretty sure the PSU game was said to be a 2:30 start..

PSU should be difficult, but they don't exactly have the best team in the world..

oh and welcome aboard oaknights

that's cool, most of us came from ESPN back in the days of them deleting every other post for "spam"

a post will rarely get deleted here, and cussing is allowed..

ESPN's new format is just.. sad.

I am scared of both games. Michigan will be much tougher than people think. Their stadium is huge but crowd noise is not much of a factor with the design.

Penn St is my (what ever their division is called) sleeper. If they can figure out a QB. Husker fans will not take over that stadium!!!!

I know Taylor like playing against road games but I am still not sure how he will handle those kind of huge atmospheres. I have us losing at least 1 of those games.

while I don't think we will "take over" the stadium, i think we should have decent fan support. its a big-name game, and the fact that the stadium is so big gives Nebraska fans that many more opportunities to pay an arm and a leg for tickets (they will do that). Michigan does not scare me yet. for this year at least I think we can handle them. the game is later in the year, and I could see D-Rob being somewhat banged up by that point. his production definitely dropped later in the season last year.

I definitely agree with that. I guess I have some confidence that Carnes can come in and execute to the point that we would need him to. That is yet to be proven though. I think we should do well against MSU simply because our defense (almost) always plays great when facing highly rated QBs. Locker (round 1) and Gabbert had some of the worst games of their careers against the Blackshirts. I just wish the season would start so we could get some real answers instead of just speculating.
