To answer your question, yes 2011 and 2012 Wade was the best teammate that Lebron has ever had to date. Who knows if that changes. In terms of production on both sides of the court, in terms of unselfishness, and in terms of teaching Lebron how not to shrink in the biggest moments. Look, if Lebron plays just below his average rather than well below his average, Wade has 4 titles and 2 finals MVPs. So hell yes, 2011 and 2012 Wade was the best teammate Lebron has had. However, 2011 Lebron was not in Wade's top 4 best teammates and likely not in his top 7. Just saying....

2011 finals Lebron.

me for one- cannot wait to see LeBron running up the wing with Kyrie pushing it- and Wiggins running up the other wing after a steal.....

the Heat just did not have the guys that could push the ball or finish a break....it led to LeBron pounding the ball into the ground and the revival of the "stanky leg" offense and that is just not that fun to watch over and over again....
Comical...the Heat's offense was soo bad, that the rumors are that the King wants it back. Miller, James Jones, and Ray Allen were recruited. As was Chris Andersen and as has been Greg Oden. Love is to play the role of Bosh if they trade for him (which would mean Wiggins is out). Funny to hear the nonsense.

James "all of a sudden" was downgraded to 2nd fiddle in the 2011 Finals. That didn't workout so well.

But when that changed the following 3 seasons for the best player on the planet...... hmmmmm.

He wasn't downgraded. Just because you play like shit doesn't mean you were downgraded to 2nd fiddle.

The Cavs want the Heat's offense because they signed one guy a 2 million dollar contract and one guy to a league min. contract that might not even make the team?

The Heat were a grind it out half court team that had no athletes for LeBron to run with- and a PG positon that was easily bottom 10 in the NBA that could not push the ball effectively- plus- Lebron would often have to move over and guard a Parker or CP or opposing PG just because the Heat PG would be so woefully over manned- and this kept LeBron from playing passing lanes, getting steals and his "chase downs" that he used to get all the time.

Now - he will not have to work NEARLY as hard- he has a PG that can push the ball- and athletes that can finish around him- and other players that can guard the other teams best perimeter players....instead of being expected to do everything while Dwade nurses his knees and misses near 30 games

You don't know the Heat that well or the time in Miami. Yes, the defense was off in the finals against a juggernaut look the Spurs, but defense was typically not the problem with the Heat until the 2014 season and obviously in the playoffs. Wade and Cole and Battier were very good perimeter defenders. Cole plays better defense that Kyrie.

Lebron just guarded the opposing team's best player. Something that I would expect that you would hope for now that he is with the Cavs.

The Heat went to 4 straight finals in a row, won two titles, and had a 27 game winning streak. They were pretty damn good. No need to go with revisionist history. Also, the team was built by one of the best basketball minds of the modern era. Let's see if your youth and "college graduated" James can deliver equal or equivalent results in Cleveland with all your athletes.

Also, your boy likes to play PG in the clutch...

Just for the record expect LBJ to be guarding the top PG in Cleveland as well.....Kyrie is far from some defensive stopper.

Kyrie is so overrated, it's incredible.

LeBron will be playing with the best PG that he has ever played with this year- and the best defensive big he has ever played with.

and please- Chris Bosh playing on the perimeter and being afraid of contact is not a better defender than Andy Varejao.

and he will be playing with Kyrie who can actually draw fouls- I mean- DWade, unlike bosh, is definitely not afraid of contact and can draw fouls- but it takes a big time toll on his body and he just cannot do it on a nightly - or anything close to that- basis anymore

towards the end their was no one on the Heat that could share the physical pounding LeBron was taking- no one that could help him on the break- no one that could help him guard the other teams best perimeter option.......and he had to get all his points in a grind it out style half court offense.

Now the Heat did do a great job of surrounding him with shooters- that is for sure which gave him a ton of space to work with- and he is not likely to have that space right away in Cleveland unless the Cavs make the move for Love or sign Allen or someone unexpected starts playing over their head

Because Kyrie has such a great track record of staying healthy in his short NBA career.

I never said the Heat were not good. I think you are taking my comments in a very wrong way.

The Heat were a great collection of talent and that was able to take them to extremely high heights- but towards the end- way too much of the load was on LeBron's shoulders

LeBron had to guard the other teams best perimeter player every night- while being relied on to be the teams best playmaker and best scorer- and only transition threat. - it was just too much towards the end.

LeBron is one of the great fast break players in the history of the game- and the Heat had no one that could push the ball or run with him- everything that he got was hard. He couldn't get out on transition as much on his own either since he was using so much energy on defense.

Having athletes and shooters and defenders on the court with LeBron makes the game a lot easier for him....and the Heat had that early on- but once bosh got scared of contact and wade could not take contact like they used to- and the cap began choking them out- LeBron had to carry more and more of the load- something that he wont have to do as much this year

Shane Battier, Norris Cole, and D-Wade were terrible defenders.....

Andy Varejao is a better defensive big man that anyone he ever played with on Miami-

and Wiggins will very quickly become a very good defender- and should eventually become an All-NBA defender (yet admittedly not till later on- but he should be a above average defender fairly early)

Just having ATHLETES will help Lebron a ton- Tristan Thompson is by no means a world beater- but he is a young guy that should get better that averaged near a double double last year

but- HE CAN RUN- he can finish on a fastbreak and get out with LeBron.....this is something that was completely lacking this last year on Miami.

I mean seriously guys

imagine Kyrie pushing the ball- and LeBron on one wing and Wiggins on the other with Miller trailing and TT some where......

thats just plain unstoppable.....and its easy points and keeps a guy fresh instead of pounding it out in teh half court and takin a beating going to the foul line all the time...

thats all i am saying

Lebron rarely guarded the best perimeter player. In the regular season that assignment was almost giving to Battier unless he was match-up against another top SF like Durant or Melo. Only in the playoffs late in games would they actually put Lebron on the opposing PG. Lebron rarely ever started off games against the PG or SG. Spo will move LBJ on those guys in the 4th

Battier was beyond done. Cole was absolutely torn to shreds by opposing point guards and Wade- who used to be one of the best defenders on the league was without a doubt not even an average defender anymore.

Birdman was probably your guys best defensive player outside of 'Bron and he was 35 and played less than 20 minutes a game

plus- as the PG's are concerned- sometimes your best defense is wearing your guy out on the offensive end- and as we know- the miami Pg situation was in the bottom 10 of the NBA and that is probably being nice about it

You do know in the playoffs the game slow up.....Just ask the Clippers.

That run and gun style is all great for the regular season but good luck getting out on the break often in the playoffs.

The Heat defensive numbers with Wade in the lineup were night and day. LBJ had a terrible year on defense also.....Let's not ignore that fact.

Cole wrecks havoc on defense all the time
