What do you expect? Lebron to play with 11 other All Stars? Seriously?

They had their big 3 who both took a back step to let Lebron lead to avoid conflict which is why Wade & Bosh attempts went down each year.

They had role players who played their role.

Allen, Jones, Miller, Chalmers, & Battier were the shooters.

Battier, UD, Joel, Cole, & Bird were the defenders.

your point?

wade was a top 10 player in the league for 2 of those seasons

bosh is a top 5 pf in the league

chalmers was a good role player until this yrs playoffs. cole is a good backup

he has shooters all of the place to dish it to. one of if not the best 3 pt shooter of all time (ray allen), mike miller, jones, battier (until this season). it seems people think to win your need a fricken all star at every position. the heat just ran into the most complete team in a very long time.

These Lebron lovers want LBJ to play with 11-13 other all stars.

Did I once imply James needs an all-star at every position?

For the second or 3rd time, this isn't about just the postseason or just the finals!

Read the thread title...again!

But James never had bigs / prime bigs like a Kareem, Parrish, Moses, Shaq, Hakeem, Garnett

or a PF like Duncan, Dirk, Karl, McHale

or a PG like Nash, Magic, Stockton, CP3, Big O

Many great players played with a combination of the above in their starting line-ups for multiple years, plus had great coaches too.

James got Wade and a Bosh in his 8th season but still had to carry the load.

LeBron is going to have athletes and young legs around him- that is going to help so much

if you guys know hoops and watched miami- it was obvious that they were a horrible fast break team- which is completely unacceptable and backwards considering they had the best fastbreak player in the league- but no one could run with LeBron-

transition defense too- LeBron had to d-up the other teams best player and could no longer roam or jump passing lanes and get out and run going the other way.....

everything on Miami was grind-it-out half/court basketball with no easy buckets what-so-ever.....

these athletes- and a PG that can push it will absolutely help LeBron a ton- and athletes all over the place will help a ton as well...

everyone acts like the Spurs are just completely unbeatable....then why is that their first win since '07?

this year- they got lucky in a lot of ways- everyone stayed healthy- all their young guys came through when it counted and other teams like OKC and Miami had guys that were either injured or ineffective because of guys not 100%

believe me- the Spurs were a GREAT team- one of the best NBA champion teams in a long time....but to think that its a given that the Spurs will have a team on that same level next year just makes no sense what so ever

He carried the load because he refused to play second fiddle.

In his first year when Wade didn't take a step back he avg 25.5 PPG, 6 RPG, & 5 APG. What load did he have to carry then? Wade shot attempts kept on decreasing in the following 3 years because James wanted to be top dog and refused to share the spotlight.

Here's all you need to know about Wade & Bosh taking a bad seat because LBJ wanted control.

Wade shots per game decreased by 3-4 shots per game in year 3 & 4. He went from 17-18 shots in the first 2 years to 14 & 15 shots in the last 2 years. Bosh went from 14 shots in the first 2 years to 12 in the final 2 years.

Um where do I start?

Leonard, Parker, Ginobli, Green, and Splitter.

All of those guys missed between 14-23 games last year

omg...

who gives a crap?

I mean when it ACTUALLY matters- who cares if Ibaka was healthy in November, December, January, February, March, April- it ONLY matters that he was not healthy in the playoffs against the Spurs and the Spurs benefited big time

who cares if Dwade was babied during the regular season- it only matters that in the Finals that his knees failed him and the Spurs benefited big time

the Spurs sit guys out ALL the time just so they are healthy- and in previous years- guys have still been hurt during the playoffs- Parker was hurt in last years playoffs- Ginobili for the first time in what seems like years was able to average 25 minutes a night and play in every playoff game-

the Spurs were lucky enough that all their main guys were healthy during the playoffs- and that their main competition suffered injuries during the playoffs- its rare that both of those things happen- and its one of the main -if not THE main reason they won their first title since '07

James "all of a sudden" was downgraded to 2nd fiddle in the 2011 Finals. That didn't workout so well.

But when that changed the following 3 seasons for the best player on the planet...... hmmmmm.

a huge problem with the Heat was their lack of athletes.

It led to a team that had to play half-court offense and grind it out on every possession and practically waste LeBron James' transcedent transition game-

on defense - LeBron had to guard the other teams best perimeter player- be it a PG or a SF - and could no longer play passing lanes, and get steals like he used to and get out and run

and when there was an opportunity to run- there was no one on the Heat that could run with him......The Heat were great because they had 3 players that were great- but they were in no way shape or form taking full advantage of LeBron's talents the way that roster was structured.

To answer your question, yes 2011 and 2012 Wade was the best teammate that Lebron has ever had to date. Who knows if that changes. In terms of production on both sides of the court, in terms of unselfishness, and in terms of teaching Lebron how not to shrink in the biggest moments. Look, if Lebron plays just below his average rather than well below his average, Wade has 4 titles and 2 finals MVPs. So hell yes, 2011 and 2012 Wade was the best teammate Lebron has had. However, 2011 Lebron was not in Wade's top 4 best teammates and likely not in his top 7. Just saying....

me for one- cannot wait to see LeBron running up the wing with Kyrie pushing it- and Wiggins running up the other wing after a steal.....

the Heat just did not have the guys that could push the ball or finish a break....it led to LeBron pounding the ball into the ground and the revival of the "stanky leg" offense and that is just not that fun to watch over and over again....

Don't get it twisted, James was the number 1 guy from day one in Miami. He just shit the bed in the 2011 finals, quite epicly i might add. But he more than made up for it the next 2 finals victories.
