Well, technically if the MSU line stank when it opened at -4.5 then this line has to stink too.

Yea we obviously have looked better in the past 2 weeks, but a -1 line for an 11-0 team ranked in the top 5 in the country vs. a 5-6 team smells a bit rotten.

And again, just like in the MSU game, it leads me to believe we're going to win this game.

i just don't feel good about it folks. at -1, if i knew a booky, i would have laid $100 on Iowa.

Beathard is the exact QB we don't want to see. fairly mobile, pretty accurate, good decision maker. pretty darn good o-line too, no outstanding WR, but they use their TEs well which scares me.

defensively, i think their d-line is weak, we need to attack it just like we did MSU. if DL can stick to the ground game, i think that gives us the best hope for pulling off a win.

Exactly, and if TA can greatly reduce his need for making a big play on every pass he throws, Nebraska has a decent shot at winning this game. Iowa has so much to lose in this game. Unfortunately for Nebraska, we have so many tendencies that are bad, and most of them are bad game time coaching decisions. On the other hand, if there's any time that Memorial stadium should be a big advantage for us, it's this Friday. On the other hand, it wasn't an advantage for Nebraska the last time Iowa played here in Lincoln. I ran out of hands!

The key, as is most of our games, if we give up just one it could be the game. We've cleaned up some mistakes recently but Tommy has filled his quota of ints with minimal effort

Vegas tho.....

They are right 99% of the time. Take it from a gambler. I learned a long time ago when lines like this come out, you don't jump on them. You wait for them to grow and then go in the opposite direction.

In other words, let this line get up to 4 or more and then go with Nebraska covering. I learned and I learned and I learned. Losing money makes you learn.

The margin for error in our case is oh so slim. All QBs make judgement errors like throwing into traffic occasionally, but Tommie does that way too much. I wonder if he's overestimating his ability to throw accurate passes, or does he really believe he has to make a huge gain on every play? I believe our defense will be ready to play, and our offensive line will be also. Now it will be up to TA to be a real team player, and not try to be the STAR on every play.

I believe Vegas is trying to suck bettors towards Nebraska, believe it or not. Quite a few people I've talked to are lusting over Nebraska for betting on. I also smell something rotten with a small line like that.

Yup, Iowa does not beat themselves.

If the penalty bug and the turnover bug hit, deep doo doo. If Nebraska gives up 5 turnovers like they did against Purdue, game over.

Problem with the PU game was TA wasn't starting. TA, as most know, is not the greatest, but he is what we are stuck with.

Fyfe stunk it up big time and D also really sucked for one reason or another

lets assume a 6-6 team has 2 wins against top 10 opponents...should that give us at least 1 "other receiving vote"?
