The Big Ten will move Tuesday's postponed Iowa-Indiana game to Feb. 27 after engineers on Thursday gave the conference and both schools assurances that Assembly Hall is safe.

Earlier this week, a piece of metal fell from the ceiling and crushed one seat and damaged others at the facility on Tuesday afternoon in Bloomington, forcing the game to be postponed.

The Feb. 27 game is set for 9 p.m. ET and will be televised on ESPN.

The Indiana women's team hosted Michigan on Wednesday night, but the section where the metal fell was closed off.

Big Ten associate commissioner Mark Rudner said Thursday the makeup date was mutually agreed upon by both schools.

Rudner also said Purdue agreed to move its road game at Iowa to Sunday, March 2, to give the Hawkeyes an extra day as they will have three games in a six-day span.

Purdue doesn't play after the Iowa game until the following Wednesday at Wisconsin, so the Boilermakers had no issue moving its game from Saturday to Sunday.

Iowa has games next week at Minnesota (Tuesday), at Indiana (Thursday) and against Purdue (Sunday).

Indiana is at Wisconsin on Tuesday and is hosting Ohio State on March 2 so there was no issue with the Hoosiers' schedule.
