So here we are. Ready to face Cleveland?
Buffalo lost to Jacksonville.
Baltimore lost to Miami.
KC sucks.
The AFC is ripe for the picking!
Belichick has this team improving. Can we carry this forward?
We need to. But Jones has taken a beating because the O Line is playing piss poor. The front 7 for the Browns are pretty damn good it will be tough. I expect a lot of run in an effort to set up some sort of passing game.

Combine screens and draws and the rush will slow. Screens will keep the rush outside, draws hold it back and the combination will keep them off balanced. But a standard running attack may be challenged with the uncertainty of our bigs.

Browns are 1-3 on the road. Only road win was against the Bengals last week. Browns have a 12th man when they play at home with the home crowd.

Patriots are 1-4 at home. 1 point to the Fins, 15 to the Saints in their worst game of the year, 2 points to the Bucs and 6 in OT to the Cowboys.

Cleveland is favored by 2.5.

If both teams were 100% this game wouldn't change. The Patriots will have Stevenson, he's cleared the concussion protocol, Harris will be game time.

Mayfield has real issue with his left (non-throwing) shoulder that may require surgery and it is affecting his throwing and running to his right side, which exposes the left to hits. Chubb's availability is being closely guarded and there's been no word about his Covid tests. He must pass two within 24 hours by Saturday night. Since he was supposedly vaccinated, one can only assume that he'll be on the field Sunday.

It'll be a grind, Pats should win 24-20.

There's no "supposedly" about it. Unvaccinated means an automatic 9 day leave (which exposed Rogers as a fraud) and wasn't applied to Chubb.

My question is how can his status be closely guarded? Aren't these situations supposed to be handled transparently? If so, shouldn't the testing results be revealed as they occur? Sure, medical stuff as relates to the real world should be confidential, but players give that privacy up. There are exceptions of course, but does it makes sense it's not confidential that a player has covid but it is confidential as they progress through follow up checks?

its not

ESPN's Adam Schefter reports Nick Chubb tested positive for COVID-19.

It's a nightmare scenario for the Browns and Chubb drafters. Chubb, who is vaccinated against COVID-19, will need two negative tests 24 hours apart if he's going to play in Week 10 against New England. D'Ernest Johnson would slot in as Cleveland's lead back if Chubb were to miss the game. Johnson impressed in Week 7 against the Broncos, running for 146 yards and a score in a dominant performance. He would be a borderline RB1 if Chubb is sidelined.

When was his last positive test?

Chubb is vaccinated so there is no mandatory 10 day wait.
Players mostly give up their privacy when they sign a contract.
The NFL still honors their privacy as much as they can. It would not be smart to end up in a cortroom and tell a judge that they let everybody who was interested know everything about a players health. We are not likely to know until Sunday morning if Chubb will be out.

So which is it? If it's in their contract they can show the judge the contract.

It's both. They can use health information as needed but cannot just throw that information around without a bonafied need.

The NFL has a policy of releasing health information that impact games. I'd say a player continuing to fail covid tests (or passing) would fall into that scope. If there needs to be a change to protect privacy then the player should be ruled out for the next game to avoid uncertainty. But maybe they will play and maybe they won't with out disclosing testing progress is just asking to abuse the intent of the transparency.

not sure what your looking for here but its the rules agreed to by the nfl and the nflpa so they have to abide by them

if vaccinated must have 2 neg tests before they can play
if not must wait 10 days for the tests

Each test should be revealed so everyone knows the status of a player. If it is known Chubb passed one test then it's more likely he'll play Sunday. If he failed his last test it's more likely he won't play.
