In fairness, this isn't just a puritanical moral code type thing. Sexual relationships between employees where power dynamics may be at play can open up a business to lawsuit... which is potentially big $$$... businesses have to take such matters seriously.

The appeal is “strange”. I’ve never stepped out on my wife and never will but I get the appeal. The prospects of strange is fascinating. It’s new. It’s fresh. It’s different. And some people like the aspect of danger in trying to hide and not get caught.

The only theory that I have as to why this is a big deal is that maybe it is in the team rules about infidelity and embarrassing the organization when it comes to public opinion they will do everything to fix their brand.
