But a lot of work to do. Baby steps here.
Mason was great
Forwards still need to find the killer instinct.

My question is, why is Luke Schenn only playing 15:11 per game? This guy was a rock for us last season and played nearly 22 minutes a game, but now he's our sixth defenseman? He's also netted one of only five goals we have this season on a really slick play.
Instead, we're playing 38 year old Timonen nearly 22 minutes a game. Seven of our forwards are playing more minutes than L. Schenn and Simmonds is right there with him too. I'm just wondering why we've suddenly abandoned this kid when he was one of the few plus players for us in a large role last season.

If this makes any sense for those that can follow the dam thing the Luke Schenn thing is mindboggling, he is by far the 6th defenseman time wise.
I would personally take a minute or two each from Timonen and Meszaros to give to Schenn and balance things out a bit more. Timonen is 38 and Meszaros is prone to injury, plus there's no reason why Luke Schenn should be getting anywhere from 2 to 6 minutes fewer than all of our other defensemen.
I'd go far enough to say that Streit should maybe even supplant Timonen on the top power play unit. At least he has a couple of assists. All Timonen is doing statistically to this point is taking minor penalties...
guys Timmonen is brutally slow, what bugs me most about him right now is that he is a penalty machine.
I just think it's time to lock 'n load here. If we don't start scoring 3-4 goals a game like I know we can, we're going to get absolutely buried in this conference.
A big part of this is our power play that's operating at only 10.5%, or about half of what it should be.
it's time to get Timonen off the books considering he's too old.
I don't think that would be a good move right now. Timonen & Streit are the only puck moving dmen in the system other than Robert Hagg who is a ways away from carrying the puck moving responsibilities for a NHL team. I wouldn't move Timonen until they get another puck moving dman to replace him. Otherwise, they're back to where they were last season.
ghostisbehere will hopefully be solid too, he might be a little closer to the NHL than hagg
it'd help if i spelled his name right for ya haha.. it's gostisbehere.. he plays at union college.. played for the us wjc team last year
Just looked him up, I didn't know about him until now. Still tho, seems a little young to carry the offensive responsibilities from the point. I would still stick it out with Timonen until some of the prospects develop. Either that or bring someone in.
