I'm not seeing it. Diggs jumped that route the instant Smith made his cut. Saying that he wouldn't have picked it anyway assumes a lot.

"It seems" indicates some level of probability, not a certainty.

Smith has been playing well the last couple of weeks. At least he is hauling in a much better % of targets recently. His struggles with getting contested catches due to his size and strength remains an issue though.

Still a looooong way to go before he can even be in the conversation for "best WR in the league" though.

Well, Smith was pretty much nullified tonight. In all fairness, Hurts really struggled but can't just blame him either as he was under constant pressure and a bunch of times with guys just breaking unblocked to him. So not entirely Smith's fault. The O struggled until the run game picked up.

Still, it is what it is: 2 catches on 4 targets for 31 yards.

I was watching Smith closely as the broadcast would allow. He got off the line ok but not exceptional and he didn't get consistent seperation from what you could see onscreen.

Breaks Smith's streak of good games. I'm sure he will do better next week.
