If we are being honest about it, DeVonta Smith is going to establish himself as the best WR in the league within the next 3 years.

"Really good" isn't the point of the thread. "Best WR in the league" is the claim.

No one would have had an issue with a claim that he would be really good. In fact, many here would agree with that. It was the dogged insistence of the OP that Smith is the greatest WR ever before even playing a single down that brought on the backlash. Just being even semi reasonable regarding the subject would have avoided all of this. But he is prone to this behavior (see his recent thread on how the Eagles' punter is the greatest ever for another example of his weird, over the top homerism).
Oh, I've been following it. Eagles fans are the best.

If he ends up playing against the backup Chiefs CBs for his whole career then maybe he has a chance.

Let's check out some of those 22 catches. Looks like they are in large part due to 12 receptions for 58(!) yards and a impressive 4.8 YPC.

Two plays in he gets tackled for a safety.

edit: Jeez, a fumble too

Meanwhile DeVonta Smith rockstar highlights. First pass he doesn't go down instead he he gets wrapped up by a defender but then proceeds to carry him 10 yards down the field just when he carried something near 20 defenders on his back against Dallas for like 10 yards last week.

Chiefs ran the classic 'bend but dont break' stuff against Smith. 122 Yds 0 TDs works just fine for the Chiefs, tbh

With a nice 8.0 YPC average which is good enough for 128th best in the league. Meanwhile DeVonta Smith has more yards.
Yea but Waddle is playing with a back up QB. Although to be fair to Smith so is he.

I’m making fun of Hurts ability to be a starting QB.
I know. Just pointing out that hes gotta be throwing those yards to someoneZ and for a few weeks, it wasnt smith. But playing against backup cbs helps

with all these videos RTK is posting. Has he posted the one where Smith's elite route running had him eating it, allowing a pick 6?
I would love to watch that video.

It was a bad pass that would have been picked off for a touchdown whether Smith fell down or not.

well it definitely would have been picked off, because Diggs owned Smith that game, but it wouldnt have been a pick 6 unless you are saying Smith wouldnt have tried to tackle him.

Well you're an idiot. Smith was breaking towards the sideline and the ball thrown off target way behind directly to where Diggs was breaking.
