So making a catch that doesn't actually count as a catch within the rules of the game is impressive to you? I'm inspired, all those almost great plays I've seen over the years are flashing back as awesome.

I thought it was a nice catch, but he needs to be more aware of the side lines on those plays. Should of ended up in the stat column but all for not.

"Really good" isn't the point of the thread. "Best WR in the league" is the claim.

No one would have had an issue with a claim that he would be really good. In fact, many here would agree with that. It was the dogged insistence of the OP that Smith is the greatest WR ever before even playing a single down that brought on the backlash. Just being even semi reasonable regarding the subject would have avoided all of this. But he is prone to this behavior (see his recent thread on how the Eagles' punter is the greatest ever for another example of his weird, over the top homerism).
