Why Seahawks could be affected by L.A. move proposals


I can see this happening and it will piss me off. How can you develop rivalries if you keep jerking a team between the two conferences?

I'll worry about that when it happens. Let's see what teams, if any, are granted the move.

The rams would be the logical choice if they stay in st louis, they are geographically closer to denver and kc. The nfcwest would be all west coast teams, the afc west would then have one west coast team.

It hadn't even occurred to me that any teams would have to switch conferences if two teams moved to L.A., but the NFL could make things easy by letting the Raiders and Rams or the Chargers and Rams go back to Los Angeles while the other team in the L.A. mix has to stay put. Nobody would have to switch conferences and the other NFC West teams would be able to lop off a decent chunk of mileage from their travel schedule by not having to go east of the Rockies to play an intradivisional game. The only scenario I don't like, for obvious reasons, is the Raiders and Chargers both going to L.A.. I hope it doesn't happen that way. I understand why the league (or, more accurately, the networks) doesn't want two L.A. teams in the same conference, but I like the Seahawks where they are and I'd rather they didn't get shoved back over to the AFC.

I would be excited to be back w/ the Broncos, Chiefs but would be upset if the Raiders weren't apart of it... Hawks/Raiders had been one of our best rivalries each and every year when we were in the AFC West... NFC West is different... There hasn't been any sustainable rivalry's between us and another team so I wouldn't miss that division too much...

When we had to switch from the AFC to the NFC, lots of us were pissed about it, me included me. That didn't work out so bad. It is human nature to resist change.
If we have to switch back, I will be ok with it but I doubt it happens.

The worst part about it for me is it eliminates the chance of a Wilson vs Luck SB, which I think may cause the NFL to proceed carefully.

Honestly the afc is very weak right now moving back over could be very beneficial now that i think more about it. Afc west is probably one of the better divisions though.

I know historical stuff really doesn't mean anything now, but still, I'd rather not see the Seahawks go back to the AFC just so they don't have to play in Denver and KC every year. I swear their win percentage in those games must be somewhere around 20%. They are abysmal in those two cities.

As cool it would be to attempt to be the first team in history to win a SB in both conferences, I would rather stay in the NFC. We have good rivalries with Rams/Niners/Cards and throw in the Packers too.
