No way would the owners sign off on that. If that was allowed a team could pay a great player the veteran minimum and subsidize with team ownership

Actually disagree, and I think the NFLPA would be ok with it. Instead of paying moronic salaries for QB’s they could get shares of the team. It allows for NFLPA members to get a bigger piece of the pie which is what their goal was until the QB prices went through the roof.
