Something nobody can deny. Kobe is hated more LBJ. LBJ is hated bc of his decisions as a professional athlete, yet outside if his career has never been questioned. Kobe is criticized for some things as a professional athlete AND as a person. His honest, integrity, abd loyalty to his family is in question. Nothing compares to this. It is pathetic pple are whining over a stupid 1 hr special.

I try to look past that, just like TWoods. But no one will forget those things.

and Shaq never faced constant double and triple teams because Fox,Fisher,Horry etc. killed people from the 3. Shaq also benefitted from having having a perimeter player as great as Kobe. Kobe benefited from the most dominant force maybe outside of Wilt, and Shaq benefited the other way as well.

And people like you forget how dominant Kobe was against those West teams in the playoffs, which were lighf years ahead of the East. There were never a clear MJ/Pippen or batman/robin. It changed from game to game. With the Bulls, Jordan was always the top dog. With Batman movies, he was always the top dog. With the Lakers, one night Shaq will be the top dog, another night it would be Kobe, or both. I watched every game and not just looked at stats like a lot of people do.

Exactly!! As has been pointed out, it is a team game. There is no question that Kobe benefitted from Shaq being there and Shaq benefitted from Kobe being there. It forced teams to "pick their poison".

They could concentrate on slowing Shaq and Kobe would go off, they concentrate on Kobe and Shaq goes off. They also had some solid veterans to contribute as well.
