KD is still a media darling and will catch a break because of that along with not having Westbrook. Plain and simple though, he didn't step up. He shot poorly when his team needed him the most. There is no more using youth/experience as a reason. KD has played in plenty of playoff games now, including a trip to the Finals.

Yes i am certain of that. Yes there is no way to prove it. However, it really doesn't matter what wing player shoots the ball. It did matter very much that it was specifically Shaq down in the post being double and triple teamed. if Kobe had shot a good % then I could get behind the 1a 1b dynamic. Time has a way of glossing over the truth

And the only other thing was that one comment he made to haters or whatever. If that is it. Not much to hate him for.

Him compared to other athletes in the spotlight that done things isn't even close and you know it. I could name 10 to 20 other great athletes that have things worse.

I will put this way if LBJ say cheated on his fiance or wife he would be the most turrible person ever, but MJ, Kobe, TWoods etc did it.

I'm not arguing any 1a 1b dynamic. Shaq was certainly the dominant factor on that team and commanded most of the attention. However, it is a weak argument to claim that it doesn't matter what wing player shoots the ball.

Kobe isn't just any wing player. He demanded plenty of attention as well, whether Shaq was in or out of the game. He was the Lakers creator from the perimeter and was who Phil went to in many late game situations. Kobe was a major part of that Lakers era. Time has a way of glossing over the truth for you in this instance.

What the hell does it matter WHY a player is hated or disliked? It is what it is!! I find it hilarious that Laker fans and Kobe fans never seem to question why Kobe is hated or try to convince anyone that they shouldn't hate him or the team. Meanwhile, Lebron supporters and Heat fans want the hate explained to them.

And I really doubt that Lebron wants to win any more than Kobe does.

Heat/Lebron fans should just enjoy the hate. It means Lebron is a great player and the Heat are a relevant team!! No one hates on the Suns or the Hornets or any of their players for a reason!!

And if he did, it occurred during his teenager awkward years.
He was King James as far back as a sophomore in high school.
Nobody is entirely sure where it came from....

But, Kobe most definitely gave himself the BLACK MAMBA nickname atage 28.

So, if laker fans want to blast a nickname, they should probably acknowledge the arrogance of Kobe to simply give himself one.

And predictably, nobody outside of laker fans and media dudes calls Kobe the Mamba.

Nicknames should never be self awarded. It is one of the cheesiest things in sports.
