Give KD a break this time. He has never played w/o Westbrook and it happened at the worst possible time. He hasn't played w/o him since they have been good. This is a learning experience for KD.

Lebron didn't recieve criticism during the spurs series, in fact the only time he ever did recieve criticism was the 2 years when his team got the number 1 overall seed. They built up expectations and came crashing down, so therefore the star gets criticized(fair or not). Also, I got sick and tired of people handing them the title before each postseason in 2009 and 2010. People always forget about the hype machine that was being put behind the Cavs before each of those post seasons. Expectations came crashing down for OKC when Westbrook went down, now had he been healthy and they lost like this THEN people probably would've really laid into Durant. Also Lebron became a very polarizing superstar. Either you hated him for the grandstanding before games, the overhype of him, or you supported the guy no matter what because of how talented he was. Also Lebron did himself no favors by walking straight off the court without shaking hands against Orlando with the excuse being "he's not a loser that's why he doesn't shake hands", and by quitting in game 5 against Boston that series. Also if you remember the swirl around his impending free agency, every little thing he did became a national story which got tiring in itself. Even wearing the Yankee cap became a huge deal with people speculating about him coming to New York. I say all of this because another factor is that Durant has never done anything to become polarizing. I can't possibly think of anything that Durant has done that would put him on a level of hate as a Kobe or Lebron.

Kobe is criticized for some things as a professional athlete AND as a person. His honest, integrity, abd loyalty to his family is in question. Nothing compares to this. Thats probably because you cant go there. Kobe was allowed to shoot while the other teams focused on Shaq by double and triple teaming him. With Kobes skill set there was no reason why he shouldnt be able to score. That would be why Shaq not Kobe won all those Finals MVP's

and Shaq never faced constant double and triple teams because Fox,Fisher,Horry etc. killed people from the 3. Shaq also benefitted from having having a perimeter player as great as Kobe. Kobe benefited from the most dominant force maybe outside of Wilt, and Shaq benefited the other way as well.

Go look at the tapes. Coaches outright told the media that was their strategy in stopping the Lakers. Teams were more worried about getting their front line fouled out and dunked on by Shaq then Kobe or any other Laker shooting. You forget Shaq had already been to the Finals without Kobe. Its ok. Time has a way of erasing unpleasant memories. My point is that Kobe benefitted way more from Shaq and thats why Shaq won all the MVPs.

Honestly, as long as it is not an illegal act I agree with being illegal I could give a fuck less what these people do with their own time. Frankly it is none of our fucking business. Agree, To say Shaq won those with out Kobe is like saying those Bulls teams were scrubs except MJ. This is a team game and no matter how good one player is it takes a team.
