Forgive me if this has been answered. I have a question regarding the American Conference.

Army (10-1, 8-0)
Tulane (9-3, 7-1)
Navy (8-3, 6-2)
Memphis (10-2, 6-2)

Army vs Tulane in AAC Championship.

The Army-Navy game is played the following week. It was decided that game would be considered a non-conference game. For whatever reason they made that agreement. Fine.

However, what if Army and Navy finished 1-2 in the conference...? As you can see that damn near happened. Would they have played twice...for the conference title and then a non-conference game?

Correct.

The best scenario is if Army had finished 13-0 and the committee would have had to put them in the playoff only to have them turnaround and potentially lose to Navy the next week
