There are no former players on a rebrand . The redskins team is no more just as the bullets are not the wizard or nationals the expos

I guess I don't get all why people are upset. it is a freaking banner. I don't come here to read the banner. We don't even know what the team name is going to be. If a new banner is created now another will have to be created whenever they decide to pick a name.

i dont know sportster why they are being militant . i said i wanted ideas for a new banner and some wanted the rings displayed etc and i said its all going and it turns into " i'm petty " thing

instead of coming up with some evidence as to why i should consider their POV they turn it into an emotional thing

We'll see how it plays out but I was running over to the base today and heard Dukes and Findlay talking about things over in Ashburn and JP's opinion was that Dan etc. have completely divorced themselves from the past. No links as they move forward.

Point 2 ... it sure looks like business as usual even with RR there.

Well if they do with the new name then another new banner will reflect it

You simply refuse to the right thing with respect to the banner, and then twist the rationale to be somebody else’s problem when you are challenged to do the right thing.

But skinsdad is not the only one who reads this board, wasnt the only one to decide what the old banner was going to look like, and refuses to seek consensus more often than not.

If I was going to to design one it would have two fans wearing Redskin jerseys with the name Redskins crossed out and a sign that said "our owner has no balls."

I feel like Snyder is erasing the history also. I agree with dad, changing the name of the basketball team to Wizards sucked and I haven't rooted for the team since they have done that.

the "right " thing is a matter of opinion . you arent right anymore then i am and i dont have to give any consensus on anything .

i was the only one to decide the last one .i did the same thing as this one . i asked for ideas and i made the choice

Your right Sportster, not a big deal however, since the banner stays and continues to evolve as dad has eluded too, the HISTORY of this franchise remains the same. The superbowl trophy's are going no where, John Riggins run off left tackle for a game winning TD vs the 82' Dolphins is going no where, Sean Taylor's legacy in a REDSKINS uniform is going no where nor is Joe Thiesmann's stories about the hogs, superbowl victory, his broken leg or anything else that transpired under the name Redskins. The history remains under the Washington franchise, established in 1932. Darrell Green, Sonny Jurgensen, Art Monk, Bobby Mitchell and all other Redskins will be remembered as Redskins by Redskin fans, broadcasters, owners, former owners, players and fans alike.

I didn't see it as a personal attack and I get what you are saying.

Since Gibbs left the first time who has played for the team that stands out? Brian Mitchell and Ryan Kerrigan .... that is all I have. There have been a few good tackles but do they really standout. Stephen Davis was pretty good. Most won't agree with me but Taylor's legacy was much more than his actual production.

The storied players other than Sammy Baugh played between the 60s thru early 90s.

In the end it is just a banner ... Hell, maybe a good banner has Dan, Vinny and Bruce on it. It would certainly be representative.
