well Wiggy wants to take it there because Tristan actually had more camera time because of the Cavs going to the finals...

too bad that STILL doesn't prove he's better than Whiteside...
well- also gets more camera time becasue A. whiteside cant stay on the court against teams that constantly put him in the pick and roll B. Tristan never gets hurt- while Whiteside finished the season watching games injured...

those things also added to Tristan's "camera time"... ;) as well as winning the title of course like u said...

um, by his NBA experience...?

Julius Randle broke his leg his first season here. he played last season which made him "practically a rookie"...

it can't be THAT hard to comprehend...:rolleyes2:
ohi agree with you on Randle-

its not randle's fault he broke his leg......

as for Whiteside- i cant call a guy a rookie that has played professionally for 5 years and was drafted in 2010. lol.

its no one's fault but his own. All though- i do kind of see a common thread that you guys just really dont pay much - if any- attention to the fact that he caused all his own problems. Personal accountability must not be a high priority.

ok, so let's toss stats out of the debate. CLEARLY your chances improve of winning if you do that...:heh:

The only reason he gets camera time is because of lebron. Put him on any other team and not even their own fans would know his name.

see but that's the thing. i'm not seeing one person here who's even arguing that. his pitfalls may have been of his own making, but his being paid in full kinda backs up the fact that he's turned things around...

well- i guess we have to decide which stats you like and which you dont.

I could without a doubt cite the advanced stats that said the Heat's defense was at times a lot better with Whiteside glued to the pine than on the court...not sure you would like those advanced stats though.

ohh okay...i get it...

so if a guy gets drafted.....spends 2 years in a teams organization but rarely makes it on the floor because his poor attitude- gets released- goes and plays overseas because no team will touch him with a 10 foot pole--- comes back- plays a year- ---then the NEXT year he is "basically" a rookie....

ill have to remember htat....maybe thats what Whitesides book will be named

"How to be a Rookie 5 years after you have been drafted"

all you have to do is ruin your draft status with your attitude...get no playing time and get sent to the dleague- get blackballed by the league- sign a street-free agent deal- play in 48 games---

AND THEN

PRACTICALLY A ROOKIE!!

lol....

i gotta hand it to you on that one...that is some creative thinking! lol.

NO.
Hes not a rookie, but his games played is equivalent to one.
Its not an excuse or reason for his past.
As of today, that is irrelevant.

Point is, and always has been, is that because hes still learning his ceiling is an unknown.

Everyone knows exactly what Tristan and his ceiling is.

wait wait, now you want to take it to the whole TEAM'S defense...?

thought this debate was player vs. player...

yah like Vin Baker and Stevie Franchise and TONS of other guys....Do you think that Mozgov's contract is a validation of his greatness? You think Mike Conley is the 2nd best player in the history of the NBA? He has the 2nd biggest contract.....

if your whole argument is that a contract is validation of how good a guy is- then you are INSANE.

I can cite 6 teams that had max money that wanted to give it to Whiteside.

As far as your point, he greatly improved the second half of the season, which is my point.

And what if SIX teams were lining up to give him a max contract?

?????????

who even IMPLIED this...?

dude is getting a max contract and was CLEARLY wanted by more than just the Miami Heat. tells ME he's pretty fricken valuable...

but you just sit there next to your crystal ball and tell me how he's destined to go the Vin Baker route...

Crystal ball's for the most part are very in inaccurate. These are way more reliable...
