LeBron says he's never won a title without an enforcer, well, he's never won a title without Wade and Bosh either so I guess the Cavs better go pick them up at some point.
In his last 6 games (counting tonight so far), Hassan Whiteside has made 23/24 from the line (95.8%). Curry only at 88.0% in his last 6.
You can tell how an argument is going when Wiggy doesn't show his mug in a thread. Haven't seen his stumpy goofy ass make his bogus proclamation for days on this one.
When he signs with the Lakers in the off-season, they'll have Kareem work with him and expand his post moves.![]()
Are we talking a Roy Hibbert, Dwight Howard type of success there with him?
Kareem offered to work with Dwight. Dwight felt he already knows everything and said No thanks.
Hey there Twins!!!![]()

I remember that. An all time great offers help and you say no. If Dwight could only have gotten 1/2 of Kareem's offensive polish. The 8-10 foot facing the basket game. But, that's why he is Dwight and Kareem is Kareem.
Right. And combined how many rings, honors, and records do they hold compared to Kareem? Sorry, but Zo and Juwan, as good as they are, together could not lift Kareem's jock.Whiteside has 2 damn good mentors in Zo and Juwan.

Kareem, IMO is the greatest center of all-time. It's a common misconception though that great players translate to great coaches. Same goes in football, personally I'd take a guy who sniffed the NFL but didn't amount to much. Why? Because he had to rely on technique and fundamentals as opposed to god-given talent. It's rare that someone is blessed with god-given ability as well as the skills necessary to teach.I completely agree with most of this. Look at who are great coaches: Phil, Pop, Brown. But, you can't eliminate guys just because they had talent too. In addition to great talent, Kareem had great technique and is a good teacher. He learned from the best (which doesn't always mean much), Wooden, and I think learned his teaching also. Hakeem is another great talent who can teach. It was a little hyperbole, but I would still choose to learn from Kareem over Zo and Howard 10 times out of 10.
I agree with you, logic on those examples. I just disagree that just because Zo didn't have as great of a career as Kareem (which was still pretty damn good), that he can't be just as effective.

Having said that, Zo is a HOF center and was a pretty damn good defensive center.
Just asking, in all these years, has Kareem mentored anyone who has improved/developed like Whiteside has in 1 season?
