For the record, if the Heat sign Whiteside to the max, I'm officially on the wagon of we're stuck being an average team. If Heat get Whiteside at around $12-$14 mil per year then I'm happy (it ain't happening though, someone's giving him the max).
Robin Lopez get 13 million when the cap was 70 million last summer. Next year the cap goes up the most it ever has in the history of the NBA....EVERYONE has to seriously re-evalaute what good contract "value" is.

Whiteside can't even follow the rules in the regular season could you imagine him in the playoffs when things get tense...Prob will get an assault charge

Thompson led the league in offensive rebounds last year in the playoffs....extra shots are huge in the playoffs and a large reason why he got a lot of money

No, that is not what I'm saying and I'm sorry if it came off that way.

Yeah, the posts have devolved into taunts against you.

No, you didn't start it.

But, how many times have you started off a post by calling DJ unemployed or All day stupid?

Just because you didn't start it this time doesn't mean you are innocent.

About the Espn stories and all the tweets....

Clearly, you didn't fabricate that stuff.

Hassan is the gift that keeps on giving for someone -anti-Heat.

Problem is: When you post an article or tweet, like the Gobert/Fournier thing, multiple times, in multiple threads, on multiple days, it goes from truth telling to annoying trolling.
you make some valid points----- both positive and critical.....and taking feedback and adjusting is always a positive and i will do better-

when you say "clearly- you didnt fabricate that stuff"- i do have to say--- if you read the posts on here over the last few days- I WISH that would have been the case.

Outside of Melo, the Knicks don't have any high-priced contracts. Meanwhile, the Heat have Bosh and Dragic and are going to have to re-sign Wade (who's likely going to get somewhere between $14-$18 mil).

Didn't JR Smith sucker punch someone in the playoffs?

yah....and that was stupid- but he did it in retaliation to protect his teammates- and its exactly what he did the other day too when he got T'd up after slamming into Spencer Hawes after Hawes had a rough offensive foul against lebron..........in fact- me and Gordon discussed this at the time.

I am 100% truthful here---- if Boris Diaw had wiped out and cheap shotted Dwade on the way to the hoop and Dwade had to go to the locker room and was out for months on end--- and the next play Whiteside took the head off of Tony Parker- i would APPLAUD it.

I remember when Rasheed Wallace SCALPED Zydrunas- and the Cavs did NOTHINg- not one guy stood up to protect his teammates.

I LOVE that Jr Smith ahs that in him where he will protect his teammates.

And you guys also treat him like he can do no wrong.
JR? i think if the Cavs loved him they wouldnt have low balled him.....but they knew he hurt his value with how he acted- and that if he is not in the right situation he can be a problem.

fortunately- on a winning team with lebron james is the RIGHT situation. I still like how he wil stick up for his teammates and protect them.

Yes he bitch-slapped Jae Crowder of the Celtics last year. Got suspended for 2 games.
if u remember- right before Olynk hurt Love- Stevens was calling out the Celtics and questioning their man hood because of how bad they were getting dominated on the boards. I think he gets some of the responsibility for that mess- on both sides...

Are you calling JR the best 3 point shooter in the E because he leads the conference in makes? Because % wise Chris Middleton (.406), Jose Calderon (.407), Jeff Teague (.409), Kelly Olynyk (.415), Doug McDermott (.425), George Hill (.439), Delly (.432), Jerryd Bayless (.441) & Jared Dudley (.475) all have a better 3 point shooting % than JR (.401).:D

No team should try to build a championship contender around Love. He's never gonna put a team on his back & carry them deep into the playoffs. I wouldn't give up a 1st rounder for him.

Nope.

JR made a mistake by opting out. He thought his market was greater than it really was. What he made was a business decision. He knows he lost out on money by opt-ing out and the fastest way to recoup that money is by A) Getting playing time and B) Winning. Winners are inherently paid more based on the perception that their success adds value to a team. There is some validity to this though. But the most important part was that JR was all by assured of retaining a starting spot. Any other team that signed him, he would have for sure returned to a bench role.

The Cavs offered him just about the same amount any other team would have out there. JR doesn't have the best reputation.

he claims he was offered more money- but who knows if that is true at all...he has a player option for like the same 5 or 6 million i think next year- lets see how that goes...i hope he takes it- but i doubt he does with how the cap is going up....if he keeps on playing like he is right now he will get something like lou williams got from the lakers at the least.
