So, bout 15 years ago, I was working on finding some frat boys to bang their throats against my knuckles at this bar down the street from my place in Kzoo. The Firehouse, super gay establishment imo. But my lady friend and her smoking hot friend wanted to go there, so you know...


Anyway, I'm sitting there thinking, is that Derek Jeter? And a couple minutes later this big ol' @RobBase lookin dude walks up. "You guys want to come party in VIP?" (This is a bar, there is no VIP mind you.)

I say "Nope."

I forget my comeback, but I'm sure it was hilarious. And things escalated. Jeter needed cute co-eds and my knuckles had found a dance partner. Five minutes and a new shirt later, I'd saved the future Marlins owner $75 in thank you gestures. And inadvertently avoided my bill, which was inside, not on the curb with me.
