It was a bit of a head scratcher for me that we didn't have a bye until the last game of the year, idk if that was intentional or just the way it worked out this year

Pretty sure the bye always comes during the conference schedule, and the conference sets the schedule so it just worked out that way this year.

If it moves to Sat it's not that big of a deal other than just nostalgia for me, but if it's only because the Iowa doesn't want to play on that Fri it'll definitely give some ammo to the budding rivalry

It is a work day. Many who take it off won't get paid for the day.
It doesn't appear that it will be Nationally Televised.
Any recruiting benefit from exposure has been diluted.

The Time and Channel for Nebraska's Friday after Thanksgiving game was always scheduled before the season began. (2:30 pm Central on National ABC). There is not even a Time or Network assigned for this game yet. It's "TBD"

Nebraska/Oklahoma was must see.
Nebraska/Colorado was "unique" in that there were only 3 or 4 games that day. (Texas/Texas A&M being one)

Nebraska/Iowa is a diluted for CFB fans.

DUDE. It's a top 5 team when nobody else relevant is playing (to my knowledge).

There's a good chance for years to come that Nebraska will be a top 10 team on that day fighting for a playoff bid.

Don't tell me it's diluted. It would be foolish to give up that spot.

Every single year the same thing happens. I'm with family. I'm eating amazing thanksgiving leftovers. I'm getting free booze from my relatives and we get to watch ourselves some Husker football.

If I get that taken away from me I'll be pissed.

And just to add to that, I'm developing the same disdain for Iowa as I had for Colorado.
