I would be the last person on this board to call anyone an idiot. Butthere needs to be a little perspecive on the issue of winning 9-10 games today compared to the Devaney/Oaborne eras. We play 12 geular season games now, Not the case back then. Back then those 9-10 wins per year pretty much kept us in or near a top 10 finish most years. That many wins many times gave us a Big 8 chammionship or at the very least a big time bowl game.

We haven't seen top 10 finish under Bo (or anything remotely close if memory serves me correctly). No major bowls. No conference championships. BD's winningpercentage .83. TOs winning percentage .84 Bos winning percentage .71. It that 71% of Bos had gotten us just one conference champiionship & one BCS game (win or lose), I'd for one be willing to give Bo a bit longer. But the man truly has little to show with all those wins other than he can't win most of the big games.

I cant disagree with anything you said except that Bo has taken us to 3 CCGs in 6 years. 2009, 2010, 2012.
I agree that he is not performing as well as BD or TO but we arent playing OU and 6 losers every year anymore as well.

I dont like the fact that he (Bo) wont demote or get rid of Papuchis but honestly feel that the players are underperforming in a huge way on defense.Confusion rests on Bos shoulders but mistackles bad reads and general laziness and lack of leadership falls on the individuals. These boys need to step up and take the lead on and off the field.

Taboo lmfao , it is common place to bash Bo Taylor the Offense the Defense the weather the refs and anyone who holds an idea different from pure negativity.

No, my point is it's taboo for ME to criticize Bo here on this board according to a couple other posters, but it's okay for those same posters to criticize Mad Dog themselves. Obviously, most of us here are pretty much in agreement about what needs to be done for our program.

EVERY coach since Jennings has had the fan base in this Great state call for their firing . Every single one. There was even a petition passed to fire Devaney, T O flew toColorado to look at the Buffs job. All of these traditions we gloat about would be nothing without those two.

But I am an idiot for wanting to give a 9 and 10 win coach a chance to prove himself. Personally Im sick of arguing my point. Rave on gentlemen Rave on. But if we get an honest to God losing coach to replace what we have , sit back and stfu. Maybe think to yourselves, wow maybe It could have been ok .

I still didn't want Mad Dog gone until his last ?performance?. After Nebraska wins just two games of the last five at the most, will you still want Bo to continue coaching here?

Id like to see the remaining games this season before I write the season off as lost. I dont like watching Nebraska struggle any more than you but I cant blame Bo for every dam thing that goes wrong. There was a day when people took responsibility for there mistakes and I dont see much of that from the players.

That to me is the difference between us and the high caliber teams. No one says "my bad". Eichorst will make the right decision without me bitching. So I will continue to be blindly optomistic about our team Go Big Red

ya but do you remember these guys, Iowa St, Kansas, Colorado, Missouri, Okie lite,Kansas State. this was our regular scheduleforever and prior to the 90s they all sucked year in and year out but now and then we took a loss to one of them.

I am not giving up on "my team" either. Yes I feel like it is "My team" too. That is why I feel so strongly.

Perhaps it is from being in management for several years but I am of the opinion that if there is a problem you define the problem, identify a solution and and take actions to arrive at that solution. You then assign responsibility to qualified individuals to perform those necessary actions. If they do not or can not then you must find someone who will.

Now of course there is a learning curve but with that curve there has to be progress. In this situation I believe the problem has been identified, actions needed and I am sure Osborne and now Eichorst has addressed these with him.

Yeah he's got the rest the season to rectify this and we can all blow sunshine up each other's butts in hopes that all will change, but honestly looking at past performance you can see there is no curve, there is no progress. We (the Huskers) are flat lined thus my signature.

Nothing has changed, nothing is different so for me to expect the results these next few games and this season to be any different is in my opinion insane.

Now I am willing to be surprised, I would love to be wrong, but what I expect is more embarrassments and honestly I feel sorry for these kids. They are the ones that are being harmed by all this.

You say they need to take responsibility, yet whose fault was it that Martinez played before he was healthy?

Bo's words "I looked him straight in the eyes and he said he was healthy."(paraphrased because I don't remember the exact words but that was the content of his words)
Now I've given my opinion on this in another post already but that was clearly throwing Martinez under the bus to cover for the incompetence of him and his staff. You don't ask a college kid with 6 more games to play in his life if he is ready. Yet our multi-million dollar coach either doesn't know that or thinks we are stupid enough to accept that as a good reason not to hold him accountable for Martinez out there limping on the field when we were told he wouldn't be back unless he was 100%.

Yeah our players need to take responsibility but I sure would think that if our coach who is making millions of dollars did it first it might say something.
With that said we clearly disagree but I do respect you and your loyalty. Don't understand it, but I respect you for it. With that said just as you feel my position does nothing to help I feel like yours does not either. When it comes down to it we are both fans. Fans with different opinions yes but bottom line all either of us can do is blow off steam on a sports board.
