The other side for some unfathomable reason thinks that one, things are going to get better or two, it could be worse and probably would be with another head coach.

Whichever, though Pelini has not been able to hire a competent staff, field a prepared team, scheme a logical game plan or uphold Nebraska's proud traditions, he has masterfully split this fanbase.

So just remember that though they can be very loud they are not the only Nebraska fans on this board.

As long as Pelini continues to deface the image of the Huskers I will continue to be right by your side pointing out every time he has committed another violation against my beloved Huskers reminding those who are comfortable in this shit that this shit really stinks.

Good post! I've been a Husker fan since about 1968, and I will always love my Huskers, but isn't it sad that we now have a stadium with over 90k fan capacity, yet we have a coaching staff fit for a stadium one third this size?! Sickening for sure!

I like many others wanted him as head coach. Now I am on the fence. If he can't or won't hire a DC, and let him have most of the input in how the defense is run, then its only going to get worse. What we are seeing is all Bo. He hand picked this staff and he is not going to get any ideas from his D coaches, because they only know Bo's way, of doing things. I don't know if Stoops was really considered for the job, but it would have been nice to see what those two could have come up with. I think Bo didn't want someone, who would get in his face and tell him, NO. He is comfortable with his " yes " men, around him. It may cost him, in the end.

I would love to give the benefit of the doubt to Bo. I always think about how Dr. Tom was almost run off to Colorado. But not only do I not see any improvement from the team year to year, but it seams to get worse instead. And this year's schedule has mitigated it to some degree. Can you imagine how bad things would be right now if this team was playing last year's sched.?...

Taboo lmfao , it is common place to bash Bo Taylor the Offense the Defense the weather the refs and anyone who holds an idea different from pure negativity.

EVERY coach since Jennings has had the fan base in this Great state call for their firing . Every single one. There was even a petition passed to fire Devaney, T O flew toColorado to look at the Buffs job. All of these traditions we gloat about would be nothing without those two.

But I am an idiot for wanting to give a 9 and 10 win coach a chance to prove himself. Personally Im sick of arguing my point. Rave on gentlemen Rave on. But if we get an honest to God losing coach to replace what we have , sit back and stfu. Maybe think to yourselves, wow maybe It could have been ok .

Personally, I get tired of hearing about the "blackshirts." They are what they are, a different color practice jersey for the starting defense. Sure, there should be pride in earning one. Yes there are expectations associated with it. But it's a practice jersey for the first unit. Good or bad, the first unit is the first unit. Issue the damn things and be done with it. 11 Jerseys for 11 starters. Practice and play to keep it, or take from someone.

Well said HuskerInSecLand, well said. I really haven't been on the Bo bandwagon for a couple of years. I never liked what people called his "fire" on the sidelines in his early years. There's a huge difference in "fire" and over the top "psychosis". I think even then the players saw that and for them it's hard to jump on that kind of buy in.

We had the advantage of two by weeks with seemingly no improvements. All Minnesota did was take Wyomings game plan and tweek it a bit & turn around an thumped us because good ol' Bo just cannot change or worse won't. As a loyal fan for over 50 years, I don't want us to lose one more stinking game this year. Unfortunately, we'll be lucky to win one more stinking game.

They have talent just no one to coach them to use it properly. I'm not sure these coaches could show these players how to tie their shoes properly.

I don't believe in mid season firing but that justify right there .
We peaked in 2010 been down hill since and the conference has a also been sliding down to so tough schedule isn't an excuse

I would be the last person on this board to call anyone an idiot. Butthere needs to be a little perspecive on the issue of winning 9-10 games today compared to the Devaney/Oaborne eras. We play 12 geular season games now, Not the case back then. Back then those 9-10 wins per year pretty much kept us in or near a top 10 finish most years. That many wins many times gave us a Big 8 chammionship or at the very least a big time bowl game.

We haven't seen top 10 finish under Bo (or anything remotely close if memory serves me correctly). No major bowls. No conference championships. BD's winningpercentage .83. TOs winning percentage .84 Bos winning percentage .71. It that 71% of Bos had gotten us just one conference champiionship & one BCS game (win or lose), I'd for one be willing to give Bo a bit longer. But the man truly has little to show with all those wins other than he can't win most of the big games.
