Living in Northwest Indiana, the late 90's Bulls were my childhood when it comes to the world of sports. But, I'd still like to see GS beat the 72-win regular season record.

Do I believe that it means these Warriors are better than Jordan's Bulls? No, of course not. But, I'm tired of everyone viewing those Bulls teams as the gold standard to everything in this game. It gets old. It's bad for basketball.

Still going to be a challenge, though. Golden State has three more meetings with the Spurs, one with the Clippers, and one with Portland still left on the schedule.

Speaking of those Bulls, watching Curry now feels EXACTLY like it did watching Jordan in his prime. Same "can't miss this guy play" type deal. Human highlight reel, etc.

Agree. Obviously, Steph plays a different style than MJ, but the feeling that you don't want to miss a game because you're seeing something that really hasn't been seen before, is the same.

I've even watched GSW games against the Clippers because of Steph and I never watch the Clippers not because I hate them, but because I really don't care about them at all (looks around for @Mecca siiiiide eye).

I think they will break the record. 15 games to go and only need 12 wins to do so. Think they can go 12-3 for the rest of the year.

If that happened.....

It would be worse than the Pats, the Sonics losing to Denver and Dallas losing to the We believe Warriors COMBINED.

I think MJ's focus on winning championships is unique. Good article our there someplace talking about their 1996 season. Article talked about how the focus from MJ started just after they lost in 1995 playoffs -- MJ told someone (Ron Harper?) in the locker room just after the game ... tomorrow we start working out and we will win this next year. He focused the entire off-season on getting ready. The "Space Jam" movie was filmed that summer -- and MJ made them build a court next to the movie set (called "The Dome") -- and they worked out and had great games all that summer. The focus was on 1996 championship.

I think they will break the record - they are 61-6 with 15 games left and the potential to win 6 of 15 games is there in my opinion. I've seen odds saying the chances of them doing it is low, but I don't agree. I think 6 of 15 to beat the record is a simple task for them and it's impressive

Yup I remember him talking about how he evolved his game there. Knew that he couldn't be a constant slasher/take it to the rim guy as he got older, and really worked on his post-play, getting that post up baseline fadeaway down and perfecting his midrange shooter.

I don't know what the hell I was drinking, but yeah - they need 12 games out of that 15 left. That still shouldn't be an impossible task for the Warriors though. The only thing is they might have a bigger target on their back than earlier in the year.

20% of their remaining games are against San Antonio. Who will Pop be "resting" for those?

I am going to be laughing if they start blaming "not beating the record" on the Lakers beating them. Duncan and Parker really aren't as good as they used to be any more, so resting them and Ginobili is no big deal any more. It's a pity that Mike Brown, Mike D'antoni and Byron Scott didn't do that with Kobe instead of running him ragged to the point of season ending injuries.
