It was your closing statement in that post.
But that was also a very minor point of this entire thread. The majority of the thread, about 98% of it, is about the OOC scheduling.

A&M still found a way to schedule an FCS team even with 4 open slots and more flexibility than most teams.
Okay, and they did and they scheduled the toughest team they could this year. They schedule some top P5 teams. They are doing what other P5 teams should be doing and they are doing it for the next few years.
But in 2016, they scheduled UCLA when they were actually decent and ranked #16 in the country. 2015, they scheduled 15th ranked Arizona State, 2014. Meanwhile, Alabama was scheduling Mercer, Georgia State, FAU, Western Carolina and Louisiana-Monroe. Like, when does Alabama get called out for their weak scheduling?
Bama has been doing that for years and when is the SEC gonna do something about that? Bama actually schedules 2 FCS teams some years and 1 always in October/November to pad them wins.
I thought Arkansas State and Louisiana-Monroe were FCS teams. Mah bad. When is the last time Bama scheduled 2 FCS teams? I'll wait.
Maybe you're thinking of Florida.
This year's OOC slate for Georgia leaves a lot to be desired, but from 2019 on, we're gonna be played at least 2 P5 OOC games every season for the foreseeable future.(there's a 3 game series with Clemson where the dates aren't official, but I'm making educated guesses on them)
2019: Notre Dame, GT
2020: Virginia, GT
2021: CLemson. GT
2022: Oregon, GT
2023: Clemson, GT
2024: Clemson, GT
2025: UCLA, GT
2026: UCLA, GT
And there's a a home and home with Texas in the works, but it isn't official yet.

I thought Arkansas State and Louisiana-Monroe were FCS teams. When has Alabama done this?

Perhaps in the future one should get facts straight before they go on rants.
I think what the OP is saying is that once aTm finally moved away from a crap OOC, they get crushed.
We all make mistakes. Not a big deal.
A&M and Alabama play every year since they are divisional foes. They play Georgia next year so next year, they play Clemson AND Georgia and possibly Alabama as well.
Alabama doesn't set their conference schedule, the SEC does. There is a rotation involved in cross-divisional games that aren't the permanent rival. Not to mention, they've only scheduled Georgia once in the next 7 years, which is 2020.

Yeah but you've made several in this thread.

You mention Alabama's FCS OOC but failed to mention the P5 game in the same year, and you listed teams that aren't FCS like FAU, GSU and ULM
Mercer - FSU
Georgia State - Virginia Tech
FAU - West Virginia
Western Carolina - West Virginia
ULM - Wisconsin
Like I said, one might to get their facts straight before one goes on a rant
No, I think what the OP is saying is that Texas A&M could take the Oklahoma and Alabama route of scheduling easy OOC wins, but they are choosing to spend the bulk of the next few years playing pretty good OOC teams like Clemson twice, Miami twice, Notre Dame twice. I like how Texas A&M has scheduled the majority of their current and future OOC schedule. I wish other teams would do that and I wish teams that are better than Texas A&M would do so.
