Reminds me of one time I was at a baseball game, and whoever was behind me had friends visiting from Germany with them. He spent the entire game trying to explain the rules, and they were absolutely lost. The foul balls being strikes but not being able to strike out from them seemed to really confuse them.

Yeah, when you grow up on the sport it's easy, but to try to pick it up during one game is unreal.

I had the same problem trying to learn the rules of cricket while in the UK. Wasn't at a game, but went to a sports bar with a couple of Brits who tried to explain it to me. Still can't figure out the multi-day games and such.

It's really very easy. One team tries to hit that little black, frozen thingy in the other teams net with a stick, and the other team tries to stop them from putting the frozen thingy in their net and vise versa.

I hope I helped you understand hockey just a little bit more mattola. You're welcome.

lol. I remember about 10 years ago I worked for this guy who said he played in the OHL when he was younger. He was a real morally corrupt individual. We went to a Canucks vs Ducks game and the Canucks were killing a penalty and fired the puck down the ice and he said to me. why do they keep wasting time like that. they need to try to score instead of firing the puck away.

I just stared at him in disbelief. He honestly tried to have me believe he was almost drafted in the NHL and he didnt know why they iced the puck to kill a penalty.

I said to him why they were Icing the puck.

he asked

Whats Icing?

I drank my beer.

anyway he took our stock to .12 cents..... from $3.40

maybe there's another 'OHL' that we don't know about?

it's amazing how some people can try to lie about something so odd. I have had a few guys that I have recruited to my broker team over the years saying they played pro in Europe, played major junior, or were even drafted.
a) there is a HUGE fucking step from minor hockey (or beer league) to junior B, and a bigger step to major junior. it's pretty apparent in warm-up even to see who has played where.
b) hockedb.com is a pretty well known website, so I can check on junior / draft info. I shouldn't have to, because why the fuck would you lie about something like that to someone who you are hoping is going to actually see you play. how could that possibly play out well?

My brother worked with a guy who claimed he was a huge horse racing fan (my brother owned racehorses). This clown tried to tell my brother a horse won the Kentucky Derby two years in a row.
