Some or many babies or born with down syndrome. In the real world, they become developmentally disabled adults and they have to be taught basic living skills. As adults they are incapable of being productive adults and subsequently many that are capable enough to do something, are sent to a sheltered workshop where they work at earning as a much as 50 cents an hour. Sheltered workshops are exempt by state and federal laws from having to pay them the standard minimum wages and are called clients. It's a healthy program to keep developmentally adults productive. Normally a sheltered workshop also has an adult day care program and take them out for events two or three days a week, like swimming, the park, the library where they can get on the computer and talk basketball and other hobbies. Normally the don't live past about 40 years of age because they are also born with birth defects. The oldest I have seen was a young woman who lived to be 50 years when she died. That was actually a record because she was well cared for. The sheltered workshops are also non-profit organizations started by people with the skills and deep pockets. They don't have to make a profit, but they are well paid and usually have a board of directors to work independently from the CEO and other officers. I was insinuating that the op is developmentally disabled

You sure do know a lot about "sheltered workshops". Is that were you got your social skills from? Did they teach you to write one big paragraph and how to change your own diaper?

the highlighted RED part is what really fascinates me, as you are by far the most simple minded twit on the HOOP. You don't have the mental capacity to "insinuate" anything.
