High school Class A championship tonight...Omaha North vs. Westside. It's gonna be a cold one, but I'm gonna go and hopefully see my former school win our first state championship in FB since 1982.

Twas a very cold game to be there. Bummer that we lost, but they played hard. I was not impressed with Calvin Strong for Omaha North...I've heard people talk about how Nebraska should take him. It sounds ridiculous because he had a great like 70 yd run, and he almost ran for 200 for the game, but he just goes down so easily IMO. When I saw his stat line after the game I couldn't believe he had nearly 200 yards, because it sure looked like they kept him under control for the most part.

He's not very big, but he gets tough yards as well as the occasional big runs.

He's also only a junior.

Yeah I know he's a junior. I just don't see him having success at a high level of college football where everyone else is fast too. I just thought (and last night was the only time I've seen him) he looked like he couldn't break a tackle that easily at the hs level and he would have a lot of trouble at the next level. I'm by no means a great judge of talent and I could easily be wrong.

His yards after contact are pretty good actually.

I think you might be pretty surprised when he actually starts getting offers.
